So, that state of things is *grumble*. mad frown I've developed a nice case of the flu...shivers, sweats, aches, loss of appitite and of course, still having to find myself in the position of having to work. surreal I'm normally sick two, maybe three times a year. When it happens, I"m always knocked on my ass, snot running like a fount of unending goo and have to drag...

I called up Frost and told him I wasn't gonna make it due to not having anyone to watch my kids (the truth by the way) and he was like, "s'cool man, i'm not going either. I got a migraine that's threatining to kill me." So that's one problem solved, huh?

I think i'm gonna fix a little supper and when the wife gets home break out a classic family movie and just chill.

Hope you get to feeling better soon, man. That sounds like it sucks shit through a straw.

So...90+ degrees. surreal Normally, not a problem...one buys beer, takes showers, eats popcicles and plays w/ his girlfriend and ice cubes. biggrin The new problem(s) have been our nest's new additions...ferrets. For you see, ferrets can't sweat. Their perfect ambient temp. is around 70 and anything over 85, they can get heat stroke. frown So most of today had been spent brain-storming on ways to lower their temps...

ferrets never had it so good! and by the way, i see your gillian welch and raise you asleep at the wheel - bump bounce boogie. is this how musical poker works?
gilda22:
Poor little ferrets, I had no idea they had such issues. I always see a guy walking his down by the beach. Quite the cuteness, although I guess if one is afraid of a little bit of water, he's probably afraid of a LOT of water huh?

More trainings and meetings... Well, they'll probably be air-conditioned. wink I actually don't have many problems w/ hot weather, within reason. I just two new window fans for our nest. You know, the ones where they reside inside the frame and have two twin fans blowing away... My usual strategy is house cooling w/ the mind-set of computer cooling - Equal numbers of intake and outtake...

now that sounds like a hot group of boys! tongue and hell ya to nails in the back ~ i love the feeling of the digdigscrrratch along the contours of the back ~ kind of stingy and hot ~ such an alive feeling. i don't know how much longer i will be able sustain the nailage, but its fun for now. *digs nails into thigh and smiles*

My boyfriend's verdict was that the sets are way better but you can tell it's a totally different place. And he liked it a lot but said people who didn't read the books were a little confused by stuff they didn't fill in. One person couldn't tell the difference between a bogart and a dementor. I myself have yet to see it.
Happy soon to be birthday. smile What did Elbereth do with her Bret Easton Ellis friends hehe? Did she talk to them or extricate herself? I'd kill someone for a job in a bookstore or library...in fact I just may have to, the way things are going.

*uplifting sigh of relief* Friends, it's time-off time again... biggrin The only work I have to involve myself in is a series of recertification classes within my agency. The usual stuff like CPR, policies trainings, mundane topics & the seminars to match. At least they're bright enough to cater most of them...their attendance would be near nil otherwise. I had originally believed these to have fallen...

Well...all the torn hairs, swearing, lack of sleep and waving of fists has actually come to something. I received my overtime check today! biggrin Looks as if I can pay off most of my bills and be able to blow a small amount on myself while in Boston for the SG Burlesque show. It will be the day after my B-Day, and all. wink

Tomorrow may include...

A Poetry Day entry to my two faithful listeners, glued hooey-blooey to their monitors... whatever

Jacket Photograph

Shes wearing a thin-strapped,
low-cut something, her clavicle
rising like a nameless feature
in an angular, elegant landscape.
Its an artful shot, with a few suggestive
convoluted flowers she doesnt need;
fiftys in sight but cant faze her, shes
seen everything else and tasted it too,
and its left...

*thankful sigh of one who's reached a stationary rest position* Busy weekend...lots of hiking, biking and other distractionary events to draw my charges out into the open air & get some sun. You always have such sincere things to say in your comments. I like being in contact with you. *sighs for good friendship associations* It sounds like things are ever so groovie in the journeys of you and yours.

Things are pretty peachy keen in a general kinda way for me. Ah, life with your ebbs and flows: good and bad, glowy sad or happy tears, future illusions and fading past.

Lalala . . . feeling strangely melonchaly, but quite content. I think that I need to drink less next week. eeeeeek!!

*blither, blah, blah . . . squish!*

State of the Tao'd... Heading towards home on my work week. How sad is that my finish line is 26 hours away. It is the 2/3 mark of how much I've worked this week so, some note of wanting to lurch across the finish line. Part of my mad hours has been the fact that my group home manager is on vacation leaving wearing the...

So, a late Poetry Day entry you you, friends...

Numb, Dumb And Out Of It

i am a blithering fool
alone on the sunken couch
in the sunken living room
in the sunken soul

the drunken soul
staring at the vanishing point of consciousness
the threshold of nothingness
passion never feels this good

oblivion so oblivious

oh lord
oh language
oh love
oh shit
