Funny story about Adam I read in this book I used to have. Darby Crash of the Germs had seen Adam when he was in the U.K. and was really into it. So he came back wearing some similar makeup and Adam and the Ants kinda caught on in the L.A. scene. Probably was a huge hit when he hit town the next time.
However, a year or so later (maybe about the time of the above, I forget when it hit MTV, probably before) things had changed pretty drastically. Black Flag had made and given out some stickers with the old ad-line "Black Flag kills ants dead!" and the four bars logo. Adam gets vegetables and stuff thrown at him as he's leaving KROQ after an interview.

If you don't, that leaves it to me to become the Dictator for Life! Muhahahaha! Imagine you poor proles having to find a CTOS web browser to use the site. All group events would involve naked fat Elvis impersonators or Electric Six shows (which only happen in other cities). Those who come to these events (which would be required) could only quaff Guinness, PBR or Genny Cream Ale.
