Dear friends,

President Bush has announced his intention to appoint Dr. W. David Hager to head up the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee.

This committee has not met for more than two years, during which time its charter lapsed. As a result, the Bush Administration is tasked with filling all eleven positions with new members. This position does not require...

Sadly, Dr Hager has already been approved to sit on the committee, but due to the scandal around him, he was not named the chair. whatever
jamie_trecker:
Well, there's a shock. That guy was a clown years ago; it is no surprise that our "uniting president" would chose a blatantly anti-science, anti-woman candidate...to "appeal to his base."

I feel like Jack Kirby using so many quotes, but the doublespeak surrounding these people is simply stunning.

BUSH MISLEADS ON SUPPORTING TROOPS

On the campaign trail, Bush has repeatedly presented himself as the
candidate who will unquestioningly provide American troops with the
resources they need. At a last minute stop in Dallas yesterday, Bush said
"there's nothing complicated about supporting our troops in combat."[1]
But there is mounting evidence that Bush sent troops to war without
essential equipment.

A recent investigation by...

you came to mine first, don't go getting all mad at how i respond, you are not going to comnvert me, i used to be so leftwing you wouldn't believe it, Dems ran my city into the ground, Dems continue to pretend like thay have my back (the working class) yet do not, unions, high taxes, liberal PC bullshit is ruining this country. thats what turned me into a conservative (very simplified of course, to make it short) and i am not even THAT conservative... compaired to all the bleading hearts on here i am, but i am not really.

i may agree with some of your points, but even if i said i did, would you ever admit that there are things on the right that make more sense than the left's view? i doubt it. thats the defferense between us. you are left or nothing, i am right, but not all or nothing (i voted FOR a tax levy to fund clevelands MetroParks (we have huge nature reservations/parks) and AGAINST the gay marriag ban. both things a true rightwinger would not do.

anyhow, i think we are at the point now where everything we say to eachother, neither of us will be openminded about, so there is really no point continuing this back and forth, at least for a while.

Dammit, Stirfry. LEARN TO SPELL! At least, if you want anyone to take you seriously.

I crossed this guy and have had much fun tearing him apart.

Was there ever a republican in office when the economy was good? Reagan, nope recession, Bush numero uno, nope.... This Bush... nope.... when has there ever been a republican in office when the economy was good?

Not in my lifetime, in my 24 years of living, when a democrat has been in office the economy has been thriving, when a republican has been in office...

I read from a couple of different credible resources today that the death count of American Soldiers in the Iraq war was 1,199 soldiers

The Iraqi civilian death count?

OVER 100,000 Iraqi Civilians are dead

Who are you going to vote for?

khalista:
I already voted. It was not for Bush. I am not completely happy with any of my options this election year... Its not worth it to me to make a point by voting for someone who really doesn't stand a chance though. Its too important to me to do my part to try not to (not)re-elect Bush (I am from FL, I am still angry about the last election). I am registered no-party for a reason... I hate that this country is two-party but I don't see it changing in the next 2 days.

Ramble ramble... sorry, I am tired....
evillyn:
I was tempted to vote for John Parker and Teresa Guiterrez (sic) of the workers world party....but I voted for Kerry, since those two have no chance. Poor little workers.

BUSH GHOST WRITER SHOWS TRUTH ABOUT FATHER AND SON

Mickey Herskowitz - a ghost writer for both George W. Bush and George
H.W. Bush - has revealed startling information about both men, which he
learned from extensive candid conversations with the 41st and the 43rd
presidents. Herskowitz revealed the information in a series of
interviews with investigative reporter Russ Baker, which Baker tape
recorded.[1]

ADMINISTRATION MISLEADS ON MISSING EXPLOSIVES

In Iraq, 380 tons of powerful explosives have been looted and may have
fallen into the hands of insurgents. In an effort to deflect blame,
administration officials are pushing the theory that when "U.S.
forces...reached the Al Qaqaa military facility in early April 2003, the weapons
cache was already gone."[1] This theory is not credible.

According to an AP report,...

BUSH MISLEADS ON TAX CUTS

At Thursday's debate President Bush said most of his tax cuts "went to
low- and middle-income Americans."[1] That statement is flatly false.

An analysis by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities found that,
in 2004, the top 20 percent of earners received 69.8% of the tax cuts
enacted by President Bush.[2] While the middle 20 percent of earners
received...

BUSH MISLEADS ON OSAMA BIN LADEN

At last night's debate President Bush claimed that, contrary to Sen.
John Kerry's assertion, he never said he was "not that concerned" about
Osama Bin Laden. Bush chastised Kerry saying, "Gosh, I don't think I
ever said I'm not worried about Osama bin Laden. That's kind of one of
those exaggerations."[1] Bush was completely wrong.

At March 13, 2002...

I figure we should all just start taking anti depressants now. That way when the results of the election come back and the cowboy that could is our president for four more years, we'll be too doped up to care.
