I'm not writing a thesis though, or anything like it - those where just random thoughts I posted in the previous journal as questions. I was surprised people actually answered them!

I smell smoke
You never know, what is unfascinating in your opinion, can be devastatingly fascinating to another. An excellent example of this comes from Lewis Black (I'm not sure if you're familiar with him), he's a comic. Very political. Very exuberant. In one of his rants and raves, he's talking about sitting in a diner and overhearing a conversation behind him. I think the quote that he overheard some girl say was "If it weren't for my horse, I'd never have spent that year in college." Catching something like that is utterly fascinating. I've sat for hours trying to wrap my head around it...I found that my head doesn't wrap around anything very well at all.
Inspiration certainly does strike at the oddest moments, huh?
