just watched this an amazing documentary on Hiroshima, like the film Flags of our Fathers and its sister piece Letters from Iwo Jima, it makes you feel really awkward about being an american if indeed you are one. It depicts the insane amount of loss of life on the Japanese side which we seldom talk about. When we think of WWII typically what comes to...

Reading about Hiroshima/Nagasaki or Chernobyl are horrifying... but interesting. I couldn't stop reading despite how awful it all was. I'm so grateful to be living in the time that I am now.

So last night I was sitting in an XBL party with a close friend of mine, we were discussing the concept of religion and the doctrines that go along with them. I used to think the same way, I, for whatever reason, was just under the understanding that I wouldn't have to deal with 30 because I just wouldn't make it there. That doesn't seem like much, but you'll never know, you may be someone's everything, but you'll never really know because you don't have their perspective. *hugs* Searching all the world, no one will find another you. Because of that you are incredibly precious. smile

saw The Town the other night, it was incredible. I can see why people would relate it to The Departed but and don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the departed but I think The Town is 100x better. "They say eye for an eye
so they fire from the sky

And as those children die,
pawns in the game of
collateral damage,
The whole world goes mad

Standing here on quick sand,
the more we fight we sink
And vengeance gives us hope,...

I hold out these hands to receive the sum
