Okay, folks. I'm back in Victoria, finally. The last few days of spending time with my family were riddled with stress, financial woes, and other such annoyances. Nothing major, but the constant pressure to be doing something, anything, started to get to me. Reading is considered a sin in my house; I'm expected to be outside at all times.

Everything in Comox is going so well. I am happy. My friends are darling, my family is surprisingly comforting, the books I'm reading are fan-fucking-tastic, my baking is staying above par, I'm eating well, and I'm almost finished all of the gifts that I'm making. Honeycomb candles, mix CDs, peanut butter chocolate bars, and peanut brittle, mostly. And cards. So many cards.

So.
I'm all packed up and have moved my worldly possessions into the basement of my new place, which will be mine as of January first. My current place isn't yet fully clean, but it will be in five hours, presumably. I should really get on that, seeing as how it's nearing three in the morning.

Spent all day yesterday at the university studying. It was stressful and it felt extremely futile; memorizing charts and lists of seemingly meaningless verb conjugations, case endings, and vocabulary is tedius when condensed into such a small amount of time.
The exam itself wasn't too bad. I definitely passed it, although the translation at the end didn't make any sense to me. I know there...

You should write a book - the Macronomicon.

[So, you called me this morning. My voice was still raspy from this cold that only seems to linger until I've fully woken up, but you didn't mention it. Our conversation wasn't awkward. You asked me how I was doing, what exams I had left, when I was heading home to Comox for the holidays, and if I would like to get together sometime soon....

Ususally I just wing it and things work out. But this time they really didn't work, so next semester I have to be a lot more focused. I don't have any choice.
Apparently, I rather close to you. I'm in Victoria.

That would be UVic.
And today I was walking on cement and watching the sky. The only word I could think to describe it was "polar"- but of course, that is spurious. Suddenly, without warning, there was clarity of thought for the first time in several weeks, maybe even months. Unfortunately, it was not the kind of clarity that lends itself to helping me realize what it is I...

I liked it. It was good story. I was just thinking that what you said is basically the main thing I pulled from the book.
I have fond memories of people from my parents church borrowing my copy of it from my mother. All the comments I got back were to the effect of "interesting read". It was funny having all these devout Christians who believe in absolute truth wanting to read it because they heard that review that said, "It will make you believe in God." (Which was a ridiculous statement that was obviously not the authors intent.) But after reading it they all realized they had been flummoxed into reading an argument for relativism.
and then I found five dollars.
I'm off to take my psyc exam. I hate this class, but it's the easiest exam i'm going to take.

It wasn't as bad as I'd feared, but it was still pretty horrible. Unfortunately, I have to go back again, but I'm not sure when.
And hi.
And hi.
Kids, I'm back. And I would like to publicly thank Mr. jasonmcdermott for getting me back on the site, as well as Malloreigh and pixxy for selling my best qualities without any shame. I appreciate all of it. This was the most wonderful thing to wake up to this morning.
Now I have to hold true to my word and post on the boards...

I just went on the most pleasant walk in the rain. My gold umbrella above me, my black sneakers hopping over puddles, headlights in my eyes and up my nose and on my cheeks. Cars don't seem to have much regard for pedestrians, ever, but it becomes even more apparent when it's raining this hard. The whole "one minute I'm dry and warm, the next...

One exam down, one to go.
A week to kill with tea, Latin, cleaning, liquor, movies and friends.
A new place to live come January first.
A bank account that's teetering dangerously on "flat broke".

Yeah. I dunno.
I wanna jump jump jump rope and play hop hop hopscotch and drink brandy overlooking the sea and never ever forget and swim as a fish amongst starfish [your eyes blue with dots of red, yellow, green] crawl crawl crawling over barnacles and watch the clouds float by in unrecognized intangible shapes and rollerskate with you on that crumbled cement road and so a secret...

I live like such a slob when I'm in my own suite. It's almost amusing how radically different it is than living with roommates- with them, I'm all respectful and whatnot. Here, I have nobody to answer to... except for the landlady.
She's five times the worst roommate I've ever had, and hell, she's not even supposed to act like a goddamn roommate. I gave...

I am currently obsessed with legwarmers myself after receiving a nice black pair for xmas. I'm thinking I need to learn how to knit some. I'm sure it's fairly easy.
You should apply at captain cooks bakery on fort st. between vancouver and cook. It's full time and it just says you need cash experience
