I've passed my orders exam! I'm now authorised to send my men to kick ass by a detailed and precise briefing technique.ARRR!!! I'm just waiting for someone to ask me "you and who's army"... Excet technically the response is "the Queen's" which just doesn't sound cool.

Anyway, another Sandhurst milestone passed and I can move on. Can't believe I was nervous. I hate being nervous....

Nice choice, what regt are you fancying? If you ain't Cav, you ain't... wink (I'm SCOTS DG, by the way)

I HATED orders, had to do them on my Close Recce Commanders down in Warminster, those bloody seven questions, and the non- stop question from the DS, belt fed and on loop- "So what?"mad

Chuffed you've got it out the way! Ex Marathon Chase, eh? There must be some guy who gets paid a mint to make "amusing" exercise names. I did one called Ex Chalk Pit. What a surprise, sub surface OPs...

I've just left the side of my beautiful wife for another week. This one's unusual beacause it's only a week till I see her next. That does make it easier but it still hurts most about an hour after we've gone our seperate ways. I've often hated Sunday nights but they've never been as painful as since I've been here. I so long for the...

It is hard being away from someone for so long, its one of the biggest downsides to the job. Ive been in Germany since 2001, and Ive had times ive not been able to get to see my family for 8 months at a time, it can get really sucky. On the plus side, there is always the opportunity to get the other half across to you for a visit, too. Get to see them again, and get a nice little holiday for them too! I had my parents across for christmas and new year a while back, and it was brilliant to have them see where i lived, meet the people I drink with, and go to the places I go. It helps when your talking in the future, they arent left wondering what youre on about. Everything will be cool once yor settled at the unit, Im sure.

Whereabouts are you off to after you commision, any news?

Fucking knees. This place is wearing down my old and broken body. I hope I don't break this often when I've got men to command.

By God it's good to be back. I've been sat here for nigh on 2.5 hours just catching up. I'm sure I have other duties but that can wait.

If you were wondering were I've been I'll summarise...
I left SG in April last year and stuck with a dull job in finance. I had to do something else as that wasn't my chosen career....

My arse is black and blue. 4 failed attempts to raid a room held by 5 fully automatic weapons and I can barely sit down. Last night was bloody. I got my fair share of headshots and established 1 win but jesus I've never seen so many first class geeks in one place. Good job I spent the rest of the night shooting them down....

A week and a day gone since making an appointment and I'm still on track for an Army Officer interview etc.

I've changed my training from strength to endurence as I founf the entrance fitness was harder than I first suspected. I can proudly say I pretty much did it straight off but I want to find it easy. So it's 1.5 miles in 10mins...

I hope it all works out for you, Mister. Keep safe, right? Will you be the kind of Officer that has to go to war?

Wow, I can't imagine you in the Army, I must say. All the best though, hope it all works out for you.
