The guinea pigs are in their pen behind me, rustling around in a paper bag. The radiator clicks and bangs in the corner of this room. I can hear national radio from my darkened living room, where only a candle burns on the antique rosewood chest by the window. It's playing a piece for violin and piano I've never heard before. Attariwala, the schedule says....

This bug's really got a hold on me. My voice is all croaky, my head is stuffed and I got this seal bark cough. I think I'm going to go to bed early and curl up with a tshirt that surlyclown left behind for me. I know I'm pathetic. Go ahead and tell me. tongue

I've been sick too.

Fortunately it hasn't been an obstacle to my ever evolving get-rich-quick schemes. I built a phlegmthrower out of some bungee cords and a little plastic measuring cup I found in a box of Tide. The US Navy has expressed some interest in my research.

With any luck, I'll soon be up to my armpits in Beanie Babies and hot salmon fresh from a brand new George Foreman Grill!

Is it hot in here?

Hey, I hope you guys are doing it up proper. And by proper I mean grabbing a fire extinguisher and zapping passers by with a taste o' the white mist. I'm juvenile!

Do they actually call it a "workunit"? shocked Someone should make a list of all the things people secretly do during boring or insulting meetings -- kegels are probably up there.

I think the best survival strategy for socks is to insinuate themselves into a neighbouring sock herd so they never get worn and no one can tell if they're orphaned. But that only works if the herders are too lazy or forgetful to return the itinerant socks to their rightful pasture.

The Sadies are coming to town and playing with Neko Case! I can't wait!

I just got back from the Sadies with the Leather Uppers opening. My feet hurt from dancing; my hands hurt from clapping; my throat hurts from hollering; my face hurts from smiling.

If you have a chance to see Toronto's The Sadies, GO. The combination of exquisite musicianship, a hardworking attitude and sheer humble politeness charms you inside of a few minutes.

Hell Yes. I'm feeling yer notions on those damn Sadies. If they hit the auto & glass belt anytime soon, I will definetely be in attendance.

What kind of dude would have the audacity to heckle The Good Brothers? It's not as if those boys are Travis Tritt or anything equally heckle-worthy. Hopefully, it was a playfull heckling.

It's getting colder here, it was minus 3 celsius this evening. I could see my breath on my walk home, and regretted the fact that T has taken my gloves hostage. Of course in return I'm keeping his soccer knee socks, leather bondage collar and crop. Fair trade I'd say. I may have to dig out my full-on winter mitts though.

It's good that we can't remove memories. Without the memories, we wouldn't have anything at all.

Bittersweet is the best kind of sweet, anyway.
azurite:
Sounds like fun. I'll check out the Sadies the next time they plan a jaunt south; You check out Slim Cessna's Auto Club next time they make a jaunt north.

I don't see as many movies as I'd like, so it's hard for me to lay out recommendations. I saw The Grudge and I thought that was decent, really creepy, and it made the back of my legs tingly; I don't generally check out horror films. My favorite film of the year has probably been End of the Century: The Story of the Ramones; I saw that documentary three times.

Oh, I wholeheartedly agree. Go natural on the ADD approach, first, and then seek meds if need be. Good idea.

There's a reggae song by The Gladiators, goes like: Mon, me say it brutal out deh... Could be the temperature, could be affairs of the heart. Hope you weather the storms. robot kiss

makes getting a tattoo seem like childs play..lol

so ya um..hmm.well i have herpes.blah..and i'm very careful about it as far as i know i've only given it to one other partner in the 15 yrs i've had it. and that was in the first year that i had it.cause i didnt really know too much about it.but i'm very parnoid and stressed when having sex since pretty much i dont seem to get partners that also have it?.strange since alot of people have it..i think it would be nice to have sex with someone else who was also a carrier. so i could relax and enjoy some guilt, worry free sex for once.lol.

endo:i'm ok as long as i try and eat well.i stay far away from coffee and dark chocolate.tho sometimes i give in to the pleasure of it.(it usually ends up giving me wicked cramps)and i try and eat a balanced diet and not get stressed out cause stress REALLY makes a huge difference.and i also cut down on my vices.and smoking.but it's all good to do that cause it helps me not have herpes breakouts too.i had 2 laposcopies to remove endo in 5 years..i had to laugh at this doctor i had the last time.when i went back in for my post surgery check-up.he was telling me that i'm pretty much cured?! and my chances of having it again are 15%.i was like ok..*mean while thinking in my head*..hello! what a crock of shit .i mean if i had it come back enough to bother me after the first sugery in 2 yrs ...i'm pretty sure my chances of having it come back again are much higher than 15%..?!geesh.anyways it 's only painfully or annoying when it comes back .i can tell right away.anyhow i'm just glad to know i'm not going crazy.lol..and it's not a mental problem.tho i do get depressed and fatigued by it.

but whatever right now i feel fine!!.so yaeee..enough downer stuff.did i tell you i got 2 sets in to a site?i'm excited!!!.it's suppose to be one of only tattooed women thats going live in the new year.i can wait to get my cheque next week.tho now that the american dollars down it wont be as big a bonus as i was hoping for on the conversion.lol.

robot robot robot robot robot
i also put a folder called plastic which is a rejected set in my pic folders,

[grins] yeah, it is a fun film. (As Chuck Palahniuk might say, "Fun isn't the right word, but it's the first word that comes to mind.")

And reminds me I have an autographed copy of Ballard's The Atrocity Exhibition in a box here somewhere, which I still haven't read... again with the "list"... but wait, we were talking about braces and leather and car dealerships and an Arquette sister...

Apparently, I need to rest my scattered head...
