ah, that sucks! i was having a similar night up here in crusty old santa rosa last night and was thinking to myself, "how fast could i get to LA to go hang with trilobyte because i bet he'd make my night happier and we could have a few laughs together," but i went to sleep feeling all bored and stodgey instead. gggrrr....note to self: learn to listen to instincts, because it sounds like we both could've been made happier by me making the drive.

The all night raving I used to always worked well to put me to sleep for a few days (and burn a billion calories).
I'm telling you though, it's all about the lifting weights only to imediately put them back down. Although it may seem futile and stupid it definately helps to get the blood flowing again after the eight hour desk jockying sessions.

second, my sympathy for the dad-stuff. we can compare stories and lament together when we visit that zero gravity world you're demanding before i'm allowed to lick your scalp and all.

third, i'm not sure when i'll get down there again since i have classes in the evening mon - thur, am not accompanying ebin (sniffle ) this weekend, and am dirt poor since the greater kern county area has decided to blacklist me so that i will never work. we could always plan a big sgla field trip to bakersfield. it's fun and educational!

finally, although fettuccini is a great f-word, it's too complimentary and i was thinking more along the lines of "fruitcake" or "festering yellow-bellied marmots".

my out of town girlies get laughed at for going to places like bellevue, KY (and fargo, MN hahaha) but hey, we do more out on the town stuff when they're here than when i go to chicago or vegas so there hehe.

You know, I don't have any idea how an LA band ended up opening for the girls. I mean, even if they were voted in fair and square I'm wondering why they entered for SD in the first place, and if it's supposed to be "local" bands, why the powers that be didn't make some sort of stipulation. Ultimately it doesn't matter though, we're just bummed that it's not an SD band opening. I mean, it's put a bad taste in the SD kid's mouths, but we're still going to the show, we'll probably either show up late or play pool in the back room until they're done playing. No big.

Seriously though, all drama sucks.

I'm hoping to get up there to go to the LA show. Not sure if I'll make it yet or not, but hopefully I will. We'll see.
