Thunderdome is quite possibly the coolest thing on the playa, and the noise of the onlookers is even better. You can hear it way out on the playa.

I should have said hello, but I was kinda out of it and didn't feel up to pushing my way through the crowd. I didn't work for DPW, though I'm thinking about doing that one of these times. I was a trancer guy at this last BM, so you probably wouldn't have recognized me anyway. I did have a bit of a recognizable mohawk though, with a sort of fishtail in the back

Yeah, last year I forgot ALL pots, pans, and cooking utensils at BM. Cooked out of a tin can for 2 days, then found out about the marvelous trading post which can save your ass! They've got everything.
