My last day here. This weekend has not gone so well. It was supposed to involve lots of swimming and writing. Apparently my muse is in the pool, because I haven't been in it.
The wind's been picking up over the last few days. The clouds keep obscuring the sun. This is all detrimental to my Swimming Pool Entry Process. The legs don't have a problem getting into the water, but the shock to the dangly bits freaks my upper half out and I need to bake for a while before really immersing myself. With the sun hiding behind the clouds every other minute and the wind not even being warm, this has been impossible. Plus I can't get any writing done by the pool anyway because the pages will just get blown about.
It may actually rain tonight. It could be interesting, because I've never seen rain in this country outside those two hellish years in Lisbon...
Never got to meet Caia, unfortunately. Perhaps she's just busy with her new job, but I prefer to imagine she knows she'd fall madly in love with me if she met me in person, which would cause difficulties with her current boytoy.
It's been nice mostly relaxing over here, but I'll be glad to get home to my own computer and its superior internet connection, assuming noone's robbed my house while I've been away. I'll add the photos from my digital cam and get the film processed sometime Tuesday, I think. I'll be getting back late Monday night, and all I'll want to do then is catch up on webcomics and log into WoW to let my guild know I'm back.
I'll have to find other things to do worth talking about then. I doubt anyone is anxious to keep track of my gardening or house repair efforts.
