I'm so sorry , honey....boys really suck!

you're still young...I know it's incredibly cliche' but you will find the right person. smile

I went through the same thing a million times.

even my fiance now was very mysteriously vague but would say things that made me hang on...but in his case I had a gut feeling we felt the same...

things will work out how they should...

wink kiss skull

you don't need that shit on your plate right now - you seem like a decent person and any decent person deserves another decent person - don't settle for less. i know it's hard - i've been there. but sometimes things are hard in life. give him some space to realize what an awesome catch you are and maybe he will settle down some - if not then he's not right for you. it's better to know sooner rather than later. take care of yourself first, then other people.

*hugs* love

I am done!
I just finished writing my paper for philosophy of literature, I am ecstatic, I have spent the last five days doing nothing but studying and taking tests.
My apartment was starting to get to me.
Yesterday I just got in my car and drove around the block with my windows down and music loud because I couldn't stand it anymore.
I hate...

I'm not sure who's playin' on Sunday, but Fred P Ott's on the Plaza is the place to see bands that day. Bands start around nine (sometimes earilier) and play late (it's a three o'clock bar). I'll check into it and let you know.

I think I had one of the most surreal experiences of my life yesterday. Kath and were walking down South Street at 7:30, on a beautiful, busy cinco-de-mayo thursday evening when we heard ska music filling the air. We stopped for a moment and said, "where is that coming from?" and as we got closer to the Outland we could see it practically pulsating, it...

This band of which you speak, Les Fossyeurs, played here last Sunday. There are pretty damn cool. Did you make it up here on this weekend?

Thanks Dollface!

Ajax-Yeah, they were awesome, although even when one of them spoke in english I couldn't understand it. This sunday (the 15th) is the Kansas City sunday, anything especially interesting going on?

off to write a paper, last one for the semester, thank God school is done!

I feel compelled to write here, I don't know why...because I always feel so silly writing these things too...I mean who the hell wants to read about the life of some perfect stranger...but I guess this is the weird world we're living in now. Nothing too exciting to report, although a strange thing happened to me and some friends this weekend. We were walking to...

Darlin', stupid drunk frat boys abound and not just in Springfield. The entire world is brimming with idiots.

Happy times indeed for me and they seem to only get better. We'll see, I reckon.

As for Sundays, the Grand Emporium is under new management, so I'm not sure if they still have punk rock Sundays or not. But, Fred P. Otts on the country club plaza always has something good to offer on Sundays. Last Sunday was some strange French punk rock with saxaphones ensemble. I'll keep youse updated though, 'cause I'm nice like that.

I'll look for you at the show girl.

ajax-it's sunday the 15th of may if you know of anything good going on that night, let me know because I'm sure they would love to catch something good while they are up there.

So I got laid off. It was so unexpected. I went to work one day, then I had a day off, and then my place of employment wasn't there anymore. Crazy because I had worked for that bitch of a woman I called my boss for four years and I had practically run the store, did all the ordering of product, etc..she never even had...

I'm pretty embarrased about the whole thing. Like I said, guilty pleasure. I'm not gonna run out and buy the record, it just caught my ear.
I'm not sure how my Aunt hooked up with that lady, but they're both fine. I guess my Aunt's kidney is working like a charm in its new home and the now lone one in my Aunt is pickin' up the slack with no problems. I was rather impressed with her.
How's the work sit'ation?

What is it about spring that seems to make everything go a little bit crazy? It feels as though every moment is some kind of new adventure, as if every night I go out I never quite know what might happen. I've been spending the last couple of weeks going to shows, writing poetry, working my ass off in school, but having a whole lot...

I really would like to check out that Murphy's Law and Reverand Horton Heat show, but money wise, I'm holding out for the Sounds of the Underground Tour coming to Tulsa in July. I just saw Throwdown in KC, and you're right, the shows there start early. I kinda like that though, because I get home a little earlier after driving all that way back. I love going to shows in Lawrence, that town is just awesome. Anyways, I hope you make it up there Wednesday, too bad I gotta work. Damn the man!!! smile

Charlie Parker was always too smacked out and late for gigs to handle the administration part of bein' a band leader, so Miles Davis had to step and fulfill said duties. That's why he was such a good band leader when he struck out on his own. You should go visit Parker's grave here in Kansas City, it's pretty cool (a whole lot better than goin' t'see that fuckin' ugly copper bust of him on Eighteenth and Vine). I was late gettin' to the S.D. show as well. I didn't think it would start that early either. You really should go to the Rev. on Wednesday (I wish I could, but somebody has to win the bread around here) and make sure you get there for the Supersuckers, they are really good.

"It's a beautiful day to be happy."- A guy I know has a poster on his wall that says this, it has a smiling hopping bunny on it..and it's so out of place amongst all his posters of bands and movies and strange random things but it always seems fitting and whenever I'm happy, and sometimes when I'm not happy I think of this and...
