I separate my favourite authors into two piles: the living and the dead.

Top of the list for dead authors is Alexandre Dumas, author of The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo etc. The Three Musketeers has been my favourite book since I was very young; I love the political intrigue, the swashbuckling, everything. I used to dream that I was d'Artagnan.
