I totally agree with the Seinfeld statement.
And I liked 1602, but I think it's a little too early to label it as genius. I thought Gaiman came up with some really good twists on the characters (yes, like Daredevil being an undercover spy posing as a minstrel and using songs as a way to identify him to other spies).
The Niles/Templesmith duo is great, too. Although, while I do like the stories, I have to admit I'm more in on it for Templesmith's art. Storywise, 30 Days of Night didn't impress me much and I haven't read Dark Days yet; Criminal Macabre, though, is a GREAT story. I'll give Niles mad props, yo, fo' all dat shizzle.
