Bugger.

For some reason my tenor won't play G#.

Okay, so I went today to a drummer's event in Jersey.

First up was Tommy Igoe. Few people outside drummers are familiar with the man's work, not having bought or otherwise read Groove Essentials. But he did the drumming on the Lion King, and he brought up kids and heard them drum and critiqued them in a good way.

I'm really digging the sax. The drumming is in a bit of a rut. My hand speed is improving, but I find myself playing the same things over and over again in fills and solos. I'm concentrating a BIT more on rudiments and fundamentals, and having a hell of a good time playing both saxophones.
