So I'm excited to be in Detroit, if you can believe that. Really, really good to be surrounded by family and old familiar friends and places. So what if most of it looks like a bomb hit it?

Gonna be planes, trains, and automobiles for me for the next day or so. I have to:

There's a fine layer of ash over everything here in Hollywood. The fires are fairly far away but the breeze carries the ash and the smell, which is like a dirty fireplace. I am sorry for the local members who have been displaced or even lost their homes (yes it has happened).

So for a bit of adventure, I rode the #60 bus from downtown Long Beach to Sunset and Figueroa at about 2am last night.

In a Fred Perry v-neck sweater, Penguin polo, grey slacks, and loafers.

Shining like a beacon in the night saying "mug me!" or worse.
