Anyone have a pickup truck I can borrow? I need to go pick up my LAMBRETTA.
I am very, very close to getting my Lambretta, thanks to the bonus I got from work and the generosity of a friend who will front me the rest. It's not the model I was looking for, but it's in great shape and won't require much to make it fantastic. Hopefully tomorrow morning I'll be picking her up. Pics later...

awww the T.O thing is next weekend , which I now cannot attend as I have a game in Montreal that day for Team Super Sweet. (the 2nd team I play for)
Last night I went outside my comfort zone and had pizza with an egg on it. Sunny side up. The idea is to break the yolk and spread the yellow goodness around the pizza.
It was spectacular!
I also got a bonus from work. Nice. Going into the Lambretta fund.

Afraid today I'm not so great. Found out last night that some folks I know are about to lose their home. Not close friends, but I know them. Good people. I've tried to help in some concrete ways over the last few months but there's only so much one can do towards fixing certain problems which are not your own. I feel sick for them. You may have seen this quite a bit, being in California with all of the foreclosures.
Not sure what I'm going to do about Copenhagen but need to make a decision soon. Feeling the pressure. Glad you are in a good position work wise. That pizza sounds scary!

What, did I piss you off, too? I can't seem to do anything right today.

I've been listening to the Small Faces a lot in the car (since I appear to be doing nothing except going back and forth to the office lately). Not only were they a great party band and were sharp dressers (The Small Faces were mods who became a band, The Who were a band who became mods), but I tell you - Robert Plant ripped...

Thank you for all the wonderful book suggestions! I may take you up on a couple of them.
Sorry I've been MIA, been working 12 hour days this week, plus today (Saturday) and all day tomorrow as well. You'd think I had a second job, but no! The good news is I'm making overtime. Sweet. Putting the money away towards a little trip somewhere. I...

You went from 0 to 100mph with the work. I suppose that is a good thing in this economy, so I am happy for you in having the extra cash flow. Hopefully things will balance out with the schedule soon.
I need a new book. I am open to your suggestions.
Bring it.

What do you normally like to read?
mizoo:
Kafka on the Shore, by Haruki Murakami
I just finished reading Atlas Shrugged. It took me five weeks. A little dated but powerful stuff, even for these times.
Thanks for the inspiration DagnyTaggart.

To put a cap on my last blog entry - no, I have not heard back from Apollonia.
Also, one of very few things worth getting in the car and making an "emergency run" for is: good bagels. Yum.

I make an emergency run for ice cream. : )
I got a Facebook message from Apollonia this morning.
You know - from Purple Rain? And yes, its actually her.
She said, and I quote - "Booooaaaaah".
What does this mean?
Is it possible I got drunk messaged by Apollonia? Does she think I'm hot? Does she call me "Darling Mikki"? Would she die 4 me?
