All the free tickets for Willie Nelson were gone at the fair. Some unscrupulous scalper was trying to sell the free ones. I would've bought them for $5 apiece, but not for $15, which was what he was trying to get. But I did end up eating some deep-fried Oreos upon the recommendation of bijoux, and I tell you, yummm! love

Body Worlds was...

This week I stumbled upon a random boutique's grand opening that featured a fiddle player, miniature horses, and the best chili I've had in a while.

Last night I went bowling with the office (more fun than it sounds), and afterwards to these people's dance party in Echo Park, where I danced till 3:00 AM. Although a coworker had told me about it, I went...

I was going to relate my weekend events until I got sidetracked by vermin.

ModCom's 2-day self-driven tour was fun but exhausting. The Eames House was by far the highlight, although we weren't allowed access to the interior. The Museum of Neon Art was also an experience; I can't believe I had never been before. What else? The Neutra VDL Research House II was kinda...

I bought the $26 calender that they were selling for LACMA. I figure it's the only way I'll ever be able to buy a Shulman print.

The highlight for me was actually the tour of the Mutual Housing Association home. I loved the absolute simplicity of it.

Eeeeeeeeek!!!

I just innocently went into my cupboard to fetch a box of Triscuits
(which, I just noticed, is "biscuit" with a "tr"),
when what should come out of it but an inoridinately agile little mouse, or some little hairless creature that looked like a live leaf or something. Could it have been a lizard? In any case, it crawled into one of the...

Im a rock star in my car, and I dont know if I could live anywhere without it.
Singing "Love Will Tear Us Apart" - you can tell that guy killed himself just from his voice,
cant you? Not only am I a gender-bending diva in my own mind, Im also an orator.

The almost organic relationship Ive developed with it is scary.

And Im...

Thinking of Ian Curtis reminds me of H.S. and College and brings me down a bit. Not like its a bad thing, but it's just a thing.

Nowadays sad old-school country songs work better for me. But that's just me. Not you...

Friday evening: One hour delay at the pharmacy due to the man with a voice box arguing heatedly with the pharmacist.

Friday night: Dinner at Cobras & Matadors in Los Feliz with a woman in a Hot Dog on a Stick outfit sitting at the next table.

Saturday night: Keane at the Avalon. A surprisingly good show, and Rodney made an appearance. I'm much more...

"What separates two people most profoundly is a different sense and degree of cleanliness."

- Friedrich Nietzsche

Thank you for your support. My dishes are done! smile
jhoneilmc:

Heh, that's a quote from Nietzsche I can understand AND agree with...

It seems as though not being able to do dishes is chiefly an affliction of those having grown up in suburban areas where dishwashing machines are prevalent. We wash everything as though were really only rinsing them to put in the dishwasher, where they will be really washed. A while ago, I was serving a friend some food on a plate I thought was clean,...
