I blew my trans line again today . Good day for it to happen. It's funny, I fix one thing, and another breaks. I put in a thermostat on my lunch break, because I was running w/o one and the lack of heat was getting to me. Start the car up, drive out of the parking lot, and the line blows... Took a whole 30 seconds for something else to break this time. A new record . So I got a ride home from work, gathered the car lifting tools, and got another friend to take me back. Clamped it all up for the millionth time, and poured 8 qts in. Now it's safe and sound back in the old driveway. Kind of freaked me out with the new thermostat though. Never had the engine a tick over 180* before with the 160* thermostat, now it's running ~210* with the 195*. Weird to see my temp gauge that high, keeps making me think it's overheating at a glance. Oh and my fans run all the time now because the PCM was reprogrammed for the 160* thermostat so they come on at 180*. I also discovered today my alternator bearings are shot. When I started my car to fill the trans fluid, they were squeeling like a pig. So now I get to fix that and have something else break. YAY!

Today was a banner day here in Wixom. Not only did it snow, but a mirror fell off my truck.
Not just any mirror mind you, but the only stock mirror on my truck. That's right, the mirror INSIDE the cab fell onto my lap, post & all.
So now I have a 3" x 3" hole in my cab's ceiling.

My grandmother is still in the hospital, so I hope she's out before New Year's. In fact, she wants out NOW. Not going to happen, but that's a good sign.
