So, spent 7+ hours yesterday driving, parking, jostling, standing in line, cursing, spending too much money and otherwise being ground into a fine powder. Then I spent another two hours trying to wrap everything. I'm still not done. I actually dreamt about it.

Bah, humbug.

So, got totally wrecked on Wednesday and am still recovering. Seems when you combine an international array of alcohol, it means trouble. Sure, Tequila (Mexico), Jack and Cokes (USA), Sake (Japan) and Irish Carbombs (Ireland...ahem...EU) may be fine on there own...but when combined, it's like the UN, a good thing in theory, but mostly an inefficient, yammering nightmare.

So, went to the Arclight to see the 12:01 showing of King Kong at the Dome last night. It is a great movie. The best, most fully realized downright soulful CG character ever. Some great, jaw-dropping action as well. The movie isn't without its problems--it is too long by far for one--but it is a very cool flick.

So, blah, I don't want to keep last night's minor meltdown there. Feeling slightly better, didn't sleep well last night, but then took a nap today with a cat sleeping partially on my head.

'Walk the Line' was good. Johnny and June rule.

It's windy today...like so windy I looked up and saw dust clouds coming off the mountains.

So, I feel lame and useless right now, about my life, about myself and about my current job. I'm floundering and I don't know how to get out of it. And it's always nice when those things are pointed out to you via email, while you're stuck in someone else's house with nothing of personal comfort anywhere nearby.
