Back in Baghdad, on my way home for a bit.
I'm supposed to stop in at my old company to see if they have anything for me, but I'm not counting on it. A week and a half at home, then back over here....unless something good happens

I feel like I'm in Groundhog Day. Every day is exactly the same. I'm missing the beach something fierce right about now.

The first week and a half here, they had me doing facility inspections. Boring as hell. Turns out, they thought because I was the youngest in my group, I must be inexperienced.

Iraq....hot and boring.
12 hour days, 7 days a week because there isn't shit else to do. People think I'm nuts, but I kinda like the fact that I can just focus on work with nothing else to bother me for a few months.

Ok....plans fall through, new plans pop up.
Looks like I'm off on a crazy fool adventure. Got a job offer doing some airfield lighting in Iraq of all places. I'll be there for 3-4 months making some crazy good money and seeing a part of the world I never expected to see.

And the bizarre reality that is my life continues to....be bizarre.
At least I'm not bored

How is it that I managed to put in 54 hours of work when there was a holiday this week?
Oh, and I'm technically laid off....all this work was on side jobs.....
