Sometimes I wake up and everything is nice and shiny. I'm so fucking high in the clouds that nothing can knock me down or drag me down to earth. Life is a cold fucking beer after a hard days work and I'm guzzling the son of a bitch like it was the last one on earth.

Things are amazingly good in my life right now,...

OK, let me get this straight... You quit smoking, yet you're in a good mood? confused

Get drunk and check out a good dj. If you can relax and forget you will have the best time.

I always like "Shout" Better.

Life is pretty good here as well.

I need to find a new place to live. The hunt begins. Ideally I would like to get a nice place downtown big enough for enough people to make it fairly cheap. I think this is unlikely.

I have a friend and we've talked about getting a place together, but I don't know how that's going to work out. It's been all talk up to...

Well, given that I copy my journal entries to three different sites, I feel pretty well covered. I also plan to print and bind them into a folder so that I'll have hard copies.

Purely a recreational trip. The only downside is I have to work my ass off to be able to go. It will be worth it in the end I'm sure. 20 or 30 rolls of film should do it.
durbustweeb:
Thanks. I'm pretty pleased overall with how it came out. Anyways... it's good enough for the purpose for which it's intended, and that's what counts.

So, when do you want to get together? We could get wings at Hooters on 78 or a burger at Fudruckers. I don't chicken out at the words "ethnic food", either, unlike quite a few people out here.

anyway... moving on.

Not the Punisher movie, the game! I avoided the flick, but the game kicks ass!

I know, I have no excuse for watching the Surreal Life. BUT! to be fair, it is the ONLY "reality" TV I watch... and only when I stumble upon it. ...Unfortunately, it always seems to be on when I turn on the TV. whatever

Yeah, I must have seen something about that guy on TV or elsewhere on the net. There's a comedy troupe that does the "Trilogy in 20 Minutes" (or something like that) as well. Damn funny stuff. biggrin

The problem with having an overly analytical mind is that nothing is simple even when it really is simple.

you ever watch that movie "jeremiah johnson"? i wish i was a mountain man sometimes, shedding the burdens of civilisation.

I didn't make it to Panama City. I should have left friday night, instead of getting iced in early saturday morning. serves me right.

I live...

Off to Panama City for the weekend to visit some family. This has been a strange, busy week. Looking forward to putting my feet in some sand. Pictures may be forthcoming.

The Strange Man

"What's that?"

I looked in the direction he was pointing, the corner of the room. I didn't see anything in the dim lighting and said as much.

"I should've figured you wouldn't be able to see it."

I smiled. "If you can see it I should be able to see it, right?" There was an overturned steel folding chair on the floor,...

So the new job is going ok. Six months in and I'm learning me some new shit and sometimes feeling so far out of my league it's not even funny. Some of the time I feel like I'm not knowledgable enough to do my job, that I don't understand enough about networking. I understand the basics though, and it seems to have gotten me by...

There's this guy at work, the janitor, he's an older guy and he's mexican. He doesn't speak english so well and he comes to me sometimes for english help. Pronouncing a word, or spelling a word, or what's the word for this, etc... Anyway, I really enjoy helping him out and sometimes I think I may have missed a career in teaching. Sometimes I think...

Helping out others is always a good thing. A couple of years back I had thought about joining the Atlanta Fire Department. My current job has given me a certain detachment from the idea of danger I guess. The idea of helping people, doing something that really matters. There wer however a couple of snags. They wanted a detailed history of every chemical substance you ever ingested. Further you had to take a lie dectector test and then undergo psychiatric evaluations. I have problems with lying, so I'm sure deep questions about my chemical habits would reveal my slight coloring of the facts, and their psychiatric evaluation would prove that I'm crazy.

Should I buy an Xbox?

Please advise. I'm conflicted. I have a ps2 already.

This is interesting.

All you intellectuals out there should be reading this, if you're into that sort of thing of course.

Oh, yeah. The next next crisis. Tort reform. I read somewhere that malpractice insurance is no lower in the states that have implemented award caps. I would be willing to compromise on the tort reform issue ONLY IF they also instituted caps on malpractice premiums. Otherwise, Bush is just throwing another friggin' bone to his corporate cronies, this time in the insurance industry. But, really, don't we already know that that's the intent anyway? Goddamn crooks.
