Yep, if i had a dollar of every "fake" friend I had, I wouldn't have to work a crappy job to get threw college. It's hard to meet anyone who genuinely wants to be a friend.
(thw white octave features former cursive guitarist stephen pedersen. he left before domestica. they have two albums, "style no. 6312" on deep elm, and "menergy" on initial. i highly suggest checking them out.)
tell her to stop running around in there. she could run into the wrong lobe or something, and the next thing you know, you're eating pudding out of a straw for the rest of your life.
fucking women. sheesh.
(speaking of cursive, have you ever heard the white octave or the good life? if not, let me know. i'll forward you some mp3's.)
... Ted Leo fucking rocked that place like it was going out of style, Joan of Arc was damn good, Tim Kinsella is a bit fucked up, but that makes him even better, and Ian MacKaye was at the show. All in all I'd say it was a good fucking time...
1. ted leo usually rocks.
2. joan of arc's o.k. (liked capt'n jazz better.)
3. tim kinsela sure is a bit fucked up.
4. as we all know, fugazi is the greatest band ever.
sure does sound like a good time. next monday i've got cursive and engine down. good times for me!
... you are carved from bone, but your heart is is just sand, and the wind is going to scatter it, and cover everything with love... goddamn that bright eyes boy sure can write a song.
totally off the subject i'm going see ted leo tomorrow night in d.c. a fun time will be had, or i will run over people on the way home.
... ahhh a ton of drunk people downstairs at my house and tenacious d blaring loud as fuck, sleep should be quite a feat tonight...
... jumpin' jesus on a pogo stick, i just walked downstairs, and there are like 25 of them...
I was reading in NME that it's going to be pushed back a while and that it's nothing like Gold, More Rock and Punk based. And the cursive album is great. Thanks.
... elvis costello hosted & performed on the letterman show last night, and eddie izzard was a guest, it was fucking great. the other guests were complete idiots, but other than them it was badass...
if you guys know so much about girls, how come you're here at a gas n' sip on friday night, drinking beer, no women anywhere?
(just happened to pass thru yr journal by way of hazardstar's. nice music picks. ever get the feeling if you only lived closer to someone that that dream band you've always wanted to start could materialize?)
