Yaaay I got my new lappie today, and it is very sleep. Now I can officially beat all your asses again in literati! =)
saruman:
Sorry to break this out to you like this, but it's not because of your computer that you were losing so badly at literati.....
dave82:
I got to rub on it today ... it was nice. ;-)

er:
dude.
i figured out why i always sent you PMs by mistake. i've been using snak, and when i'm PMing somebody, i just keep their username hilighted so i can just double click and i'll get the PM prompt. however, what i didn't realize, is that whenever anyone signs on or signs off, the list moves, and my hilighting automatcally moves to the next person on the list. i think i was always PMing people around the letter S, thus you were the victim.

another case solved by er.
now back to our regularly scheduled horse shit. wink
dave82:
Dood ... quit hording the Catch-22 and Distillers albums ... all I had this week in the way of new cds was the 'Punk Goes Acoustic' and 'Lucky Boys Confusion'. :-( Just kidding bud.

Blah. Previously mentioned injury got infected. Fighting off nasty yellow puss. Just thought I'd share with you all. smile

In other news, my poor lappie died. My foot got tangled up in the power chord, and I yanked it from the table full force to the floor. Amazingly, the entire machine was fine, except that the power supply is REALLY loose (you have to jam it...

So yeah, I did it (see previous entry). Not sure why; kind of an impluse thing brought about by listening to good music at lethal volumes.

I've decided that years of this school crap is turning me into a masochist. I used to do crap like this just to release the pain, when I was depressed. Now, I'm not depressed anymore.... I do it just...

I accidentally burned my hand on the oven rack, taking a pizza out. It didn't hurt that bad at all, but it left this really cool looking scar (or at least I think it's gonna scar, by now). So, now I've been toying around with the idea of burning myself some more.....the temptation is really burning me up (har har). wink

Today was the infamous career fair at my school. Everyone dressed up in a suit, so it was kind of like halloween for me, because everyone looks really strange, and I usually fail to dress up for either event. The type of companies that showed up disturbed me slightly....most everyone there was military/government, or a contract thereto. One booth even had a 12' missile on...

Source, please? I never remember hearing about any such deaths.

Erm, most witnesses (and by "most", I really mean "all of them that were interviewed by the press") only mentioned the two shooters. If there were other shooters, why would this not be mentioned? Is there some big conspiracy theory about the third shooter? -rolls eyes-

*** hmm getting pretty snippy there, smartymcsmartypantsguy. ha

I'm sure you've got a photographic memory, remember everything you hear, and have read "all" the witness reports vs just hearing a little blurb about them on tv.

and you probably don't fully believe everything the corporate media owners decide to let trickle through to your favorite newspaper or infotainment show, without investigating their claims yourself.

but there is a multitude of possible reasons in any event such as this why you wouldn't hear of such things.

some super easy to find (non-mall bookstore) sources on this topic would be one or both of the first two large Disinformation books~ 'you are being lied to' and 'everything you know is wrong'. Otherwise, go searching on the web. Or ask some people you know that still live in Colorado- I would love to know what they are saying.

"Is there some big conspiracy theory about the third shooter?"

yeah, it was you.
-rolls eyes-

I found two (well, three, rather) albums that I have been basically listening to on repeat for the last 5 days. If you're on soulseek, definitely score a copy. Or if you wish to support our bloodsucking overlords, I suppose it is theoretically possible to pay for said goods:

- Distillers, "Coral Fang". At first I didn't like this album....every punk bone in by body...

It's more than my recent ex - it's a lot of different things that are building up, like a friend who decided to dump my friendship, a boy who i fell for falling for someone else, a friend being stalked by her ex boyfriend... a lot of stuff.

mostly it's other people's drama that i've tried getting out of but somehow i keep gettin pulled back into. *sigh*

Ok, don't say I didn't warn you all that this sucked big-time:

Ring of Fire - The Shitty Version

Man, this is so embarassing to listen to. I should note that I'm only posting the link to beat dave82 to it. =) Anyways, I don't think I'm gonna quit my day job to be a singer just yet.

Ok, I just got the initial Johnny Cash cover mp3 from dave82, who was nice enough to be recording sound that night. It's 16 minutes long and 23Mb (it covers our entire "set", which was 3 songs). It needs some editing (normalization, cutting, and other such things), and then Dave will hopefully release a version on the web, so you can all hear how much...

So yeah, tomorrow night, this band-type-thinger that I've been messing around with is going to have a live performance. It's going to be the single most terrible thing to ever be unleashed on a live audience, and I can't wait to relish in the glory. Basically, it's going to be just me and my friend, myself on guitar, and my good friend on a computer...

Wow, looks like my journal entry really did get you thinking.

I wish there was a easy way out of this redundant routine I'm in - but there really isn't. I am kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. I cannot afford to simply quit, and every day I hope I will get fired. But unfortunately that won't happen yet, even though I am technically on the verge of it because of our point system (allowed 12 + 1 point per year, I have 12. I'm on my "honor" point. You get a point each week you don't make your scheduled hours).

There are good things about my job and then there are bad things and lately the bad outweigh the good. And that is what has me so damn down about it. There is a lot of flaws in the system that is my work environment and I have no power to change those flaws. But I just keep going with it because I need the money to pay my bills and I'm too lazy to find a new job because I'm relatively comfortable in my job. My job is secure and I cannot afford to risk losing it.

Plus I am a total softie and I know they need me because I am a good keyer and a hard worker. It just sucks to feel that you're not as appreciated as you should be and you aren't properly rewarded for a job well done. It's a thankless job but someone has to do it, you know?

I guess I'll just keep on doing this for now. Plus it's hard for me to find a different / good job because of my piercings and my lack of desire to wear stuffy business clothing 40+ hours a week.

Well, that is all I have to say for now. But thank you for sharing your feelings with me. It is good to know that I am not the only one stuck in a routine lifestyle.

Always -

PS - Macs suck.

So how did the band thingamajig go?

Let's hear the damage.

Wow...last night, was, shall I say, rather intense. Went rolling, got back home around 4.30am (if you know what all that means, then I shall not need to include any more details...otherwise, it's better left unsaid smile ). Anyways, couldn't sleep till about 6am, and I woke up at about 11. Amazingly, today was pretty high energy. Managed to fix my car and clean my apartment....
