I tried to hang shelves in my apartment today. I learned something. This building apparently has no studs in the walls, and is only standing upright thanks to a lot of plaster and a prayer.

I guess my thing is that most of what I like about a person has to do with personality. So even with my nieclettes and nephews, until they stopped leaking from everywhere all the time, and developed a personality, it was hard for me to form any kind of attachment to them.

I came to a realization today as I tried to update a mailing list for a life drawing model session from the sign in sheet that was at the door: art students have amazingly bad hand writing. There was only one entry of 28 that I'm totally sure I read right.

Ah, the joys of Savannah weather. I took a nice, long walk through the city under blue skies. Got some lunch, sat in the park, went back to the apartment to get the dog for her afternoon walk and, BAM, the rain starts pouring down. Go figure.

Murphy's Law = Getting all moved in to the new place and ready to enjoy the weekend there only to find there has been a mistake and the water has been cut off instead of transfered over an hour before the office closes on Friday, so they can't turn it back on until Monday.
