Wow. What a lovely day. Woke up in a lazy, leisurely fashion with N, who made us an incredible breakfast. Played with a big borrowed camera 'till 3, futzed with the computer 'till three thirty, went off to be brilliantly blown ona local hilltop, and am about to have supper prior to shooting Sh's play. Then off to play w Sh and C...

I could...

much time HAS passed. nice to see you around again.

yes, i have work up. it is at the image arts school. right now max-x is going on, the whole school is turned into a gallery for four days (today [thursday] through sunday). my work is on the second floor, outside the main studio space and is titled 'not in our name.' you should check it out if you have a chance. opening night is tonight, and the place will be packed with live music, free food, and not so free booze. otherwise it runs 9-10 on friday, 9-5 on saturday, and 9-12 on sunday.

yes, there is the sg toronto prom happening this may 15th. there is info in the sg canada east group. the venue and specifics have not been set yet, but the date is for sure. my date and i will look smashing. it is definitely worth checking out. not to mention all the hot sg action that will be occuring.

and for a complete list of what makes a photogrrl's birthday extra special, go here. quite the list, if i do say so.

actually, i've always been a cheap drunk. usually three or four drinks leaves me pleasantly buzzed. but last night... ugh. i think it was the tequila and lack of food. it certainly wasn't the company.

i've actually done composite panorama images before. i make layer masks in photoshop and use the gradient tool to blend. it's something i picked up in second year digital tools at ryerson.

i use mine mostly for journalistic work. i work at the ryersonian newspaper, and it's so much easier to just shoot, download and send as opposed to shooting, processing, and scanning. when i think back onto all the time i've spent sitting in front of a neg scanner, day after day, i kick myself for not getting this sooner.

Both really. I explained that we were each dating people, and that some people call that Polyamoury, but that a label isn't as important as knowing that we love other people and that doesn't mean we aren't going to be together. I think it's easier for us, because we're already "freaks" being lesbian parents and all. It's not like our boys thought we wer the Cleavers.

Fuck I definately wish I could write like that. Love Western Lands.. though Cities of the Red Night is probably my favorite of that trilogy.

Yeah.. Pink Narcissus looks really good.. when Flux and I went to Powells I happened across a Taschen book of his photographs.. then I heard about the film.. I'll probably have to special order the sucker.. it looks amazingly good.. and his photographs are quite interesting. I really like the uber-stylized fantasmogoric style that he his, without seeming lame and over the top like many current fashion photogs. My gf wants to watch it too, so we'll probably order it soon.

so how are you enjoying your new toy?

I'm adding you due to the "onanism" vice.. I respect things put in that fashion.. just finished Burroughs' "Port of Saints" on the bus from Portland to Seattle today.. now I've read every book he's ever written...
