A couple of days ago I went and rented a violin. I half-heartedly asked people for recommendations as to where rents the best violin, but eventually I just found a place that was fairly close to my apartment. I haven't played the violin seriously in nine years, I probably haven't been within ten feet of one for eight. I was a different person the last...

It's that time of year again when I become fascinated with that evil frozen confection, Tasti D-Lite. The New York Soft-Serve Iced-Cream Facsimile. There are something like 100 different flavors (though I'm convinced a blindfolded taste test would reveal more like eight) It's cold, it's refreshing, and it's supposed to be nutritionally equivalent to vacuum.

But the fact is, none of the flavors taste all...

Storytime!

One day, in my Driver's Ed class in High School (yeah, this was a while ago) the school's guidance counsellor came to our room to talk about (I think) career choices. They didn't care too much about cutting into Drivers' Ed — they knew we'd all learn to drive.

Anyway, to break the ice (or something), Mr. Sneed (real name) decided to show us...

Goldurnit. One of my most favorite things to do at work is to write emails and SG journal entries. I save 'em to a floppy disk, and send them when I get home. But, alas, my floppy is FUBAR'd.

"It was a really good paper."

I just wrote about VSLF and my trip to Boston. In a nutshell: thumbs-up! Although the weather sucked so hard...

Onion Rings may one of my top five favorite foods. I really dig the ones from Popeye's for some reason. Mmm.

Sorry you were sick during the last NYC outing. You were missed...

I hear the "friar" look is in with both the ladies and the gentlemen, good suggestion! wink

also, I fucking hate floppy [drives|disks], they seem to last about a day and a half before something goes terribly wrong

Well, words do not describe how bad this $10 digital camera is:
* It's caused two bluescreens of death on my WinXP computer.
* Though the camera can hold nineteen pictures, for some reason I can only ever view the "first on the roll". So it's: take a picture, download picture, delete camera, repeat.
* Breathtaking picture quality.

Still, I'm in love.

Yesterday my VSLF was off work — her rotation right now means that instead of working insanely long hours, she's working insanely few hours. We were trying to think of fun and exciting things to do.

We went grocery shopping.

This sounds so lame.

Our favorite supermarket in San Francisco is Trader Joe's. They've got all kinds of good comestibles at low low prices....

I haven't gotten much done today. I've more or less been doing nothing worth mentioning. I haven't been up to anything recently. I've just been staying at home not getting anything done.

But seriously, I haven't felt the urge to write much lately. Maybe because I've started rehearsals. I got the script yesterday, and I do have very few lines. Which is a shame. On...

Yea, I was going to go. The show ended at 12:00. I was on my way to the train station to go. And I ran into these 2 guys. They got all up in my face, And harassed me and ask me to take some kind of drug "to end a night full of magic," and after that I was like I just want to get home and be safe. And I didn't know how to get to this place I was going to take a cab but I didnt know how much it would cost. But by the time I got home it was 2:00. The N train wasn't running. But I had a good time at the show lol. Next time I'll definitely be there. Stupid people ruined it for me. I mean if I was with other people then it wouldn't bother me so much :le sigh:

Did you have a good time? I hope you had a better night then I did. Well half of it. Heheh
miao!!

Oh and I wish it got to meet you and everyone else. I really did want to go too. I was so looking forward to it. Bye'ss

Ughhh... it all turned so sordid. It never occurred to me that that... prefix was actually a reference to... well, you know. I still don't really know what (some picture, or something?) that whole mess was all about. I just jumped on the name-changing bandwagon, you know? It's fun!

It sickens me to think that people would come to SG and come to such a...

hmm...a necessarily oblique reference?

did you witness the threads that brought all the shit hailing down?

what most interests me is the chorus of voices which arises whenever there is protest, saying "this is a private business", "this is just a website", "you should trust the owners"

well, of course i wish to offer the best respect i have to the owners, but any business, as an economic venture, must deal with the concerns of its clients.

likewise, most "just" arguments can easily defuse legitimate concerns, warding them off until they become bigger and less combatable issues in larger, not "just" arenas.

A few months ago I answered a posting on craigslist: a photographer was looking for someone to do some nude modelling. I was all what the hell, right? Well, now my ass is in a gallery! Oh, yeah. We're going to view it on Wednesday. I'm going to go up to strangers and say, "Damn. Is that a great ass, or what?"...

In this office, my desk is right next to four TVs, all tuned to CNN. If one more person thinks that "it's like a video game" is clever commentary (it wasn't clever in Gulf War 1!) I'm going to freak out.

I just got back from Lunch Club, wherein un- and under-employed strangers have lunch together. And then go drinking. I was a shitty person to have lunch with — I couldn't concentrate on a damn thing because there was a guy sitting at another table who looked exactly like a friend of mine from Liverpool. And I couldn't stop staring at him, and nobody...
