I got stung in the foot by one ( backed up on it, buried in the sand) and it was the worst pain in my life, bar none ( and I have been hit in the chest with a aluminum bat, breaking 3 ribs, peice of cake compared to that). The coast guard said 70% of people hit by the stinger pass out (from shock). I feel for those around him.
