Up late again...at least it's Friday.
Makes me feel like I'm rebelling, in a pitiful way, against the suburbs, drinking my Bacardi & Coke Zero & thinking obscene thoughts and making obscene art while the khaki-pants wearing crowd is sound asleep, sure to be up at the crack of dark-thirty ready to drive their minivans around.

Hmmm....the list of Christian atrocities is far far longer than almost any other religion. Examples: Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, the Burning Times of Europe (mass hysteria of the Middle Ages during which thousands of people were burned or otherwise killed for "witchcraft"--wiping out an entire village in one case), oh and let's not forget the wonderful founders of our country, the Puritans, who killed 19 innocent people in the 1690s.

My POINT was I had not known the origin of Islam was so violent. And much as I hate Christianity, even I had to admit that its origins were peaceful in comparison. Was Jesus lobbing heads off with scimitars? NO. Were the early Christians doing the same? NO. They were too busy trying to not get fed to the lions. Once Christians became power players, that was another story of course.

Most organized religions, like most governments, are centered around the power of a few and the subjugation of many.

Hmmm...hello journal.
Drama is boring, emotion is draining, rebellion is refuge.
Why is it I feel most happy & alive when rebelling against something oppressive???
I do not thrive on chaos & I hate drama but anything that involves kicking ass or shredding society's mores is quite soothing to me.
Obviously I should make this useful in my career.
