My soul is at peace. Life is calm, quiet now, but no less glorious, I have visions of myself an old man in the country, possibly in Tuscany, spinning pizzas and reading to my children. For the first time I look to the future and smile, life has som much wonder and beauty in store for me, I feel as if I am about to...

well then maybe i'll tell you a one or two.
Stop this day and night with me and you shall possess the origin of all poems,
You shall possess the good of the earth and sun....there are millions of suns left,
You shall no longer take things at second or third hand...nor look through the eyes of the dead....nor feed on the spectres in books,
You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take...

Re the Walt Whitman, yes, it is very beautiful, and I so agree with you, simple is almost always the most beautiful. I wonder tho... why does he say Stop this day and night with me?? At first I read it as stop the day, stop the world, exclude all else, in a romantic way, but no, after reading it again I realised that was not it. And then I thought perhaps he is talking about being just still in the moment, experience what is. But why with him? Is it just that he is writing the poem, he had someone in mind, and so it was like a dialogue? Perhaps it is a combination of the two, there is a romantic directive there, one person he was talking to, and he was saying "Just be with me, for this moment right now, and know that this is what the world is." Hmmm. You think?

i just am...
I had a near disaster yesterday, I spilled half of a latte on my iBook, terror stricken I ran for napkins, wiped as best I could and shook the caffene out of the keyboard. Thankfully all works, only my keys are a little sticky. I suppose it was inevitable...

if a blog falls dead off the presses and there is no one there to read it, is it still crap?
Well I feel like an old hobo, I'm sad lonesome and blue
I was fair as the summer day now the summer days are through
You pass through places and places pass through you
But you carry 'em with you on the souls of your travellin' shoes
Well I love you so dearly I love you so clearly
Wake you up in the mornin' so...

oceans are no excuse.
i/m sure love can swim.
i/m sure love can swim.
I asked for sunshine, and now it is here in abundance. I feel electricly alive, as if I was sprouting leaf buds like the trees. I feel warmth returning to me. Everything is going to be allright, better than alright, it will be metaphysicly, ontologicly, biologicly and chemicly alright.

Long distance relationship. Can't see my boyfriend until May, and then again until July or so.
mockingbird:
No, that's okay. I've gotten that before many a time.
I'm not gonna go on some big thing about how strong our love is or anything because that seems ignorant to me, but the fact is that with my relationship, we work really, really well together.
It's not going to be long distance anymore in July or August, so we'll see what happens.

The first rain of the autumn is cleansing, a baptism that washes away the dust, grime and sin of the summer. Now I am clean, the bath water has run cold, my fingers bare, withered and wrinkled, i have scrubbed and re-scrubbed, not only dirt but skin, hair and nail as well. Now all I want is sunshine, in the air, in my heart.

So I've heard... You do have a good music scene though.

good, that will help when the birds fly into them.
It's not always easy kicking someone out
Gotta wait a while - it can be an unpleasant task
Sometimes somebody wants you to give something up
And tears or not, it's too much to ask

My favorite 2005 movie was "Millions", directed by Danny Boyle (28 Days Later).
I loved it.
I loved it.

I forgot why I bought Tropic of Cancer. It was your "Fav. Books". now I know. I have yet to find the time to read it. I need to vacation but maybe I just need to get lost. Write more.
Returned I have. New powers? Possibly. More expensive? Certainly. Bask I say!

Black.
What is it about the human mind that fixes itself to the past, a grip more firm and unyielding than any industrial clamp, robotic or otherwise. You spin, struggle attempting to loose yourself from it, send it flying toward wood and water like a cannonball, and it pulls you with it, to the bottom of the sea.

I've recieved a few love letters in my life, but none as touching as the one I recieved this week. I am infinitly grateful for the grace and delicacy she uses in all things, for the laughter I had nearly forgotten. I print it in part, a small electronic, etherial, intagible thanks for all she is.

We only have one kitty, but I really want to get another kitty. But I doubt Alice would be havin' that. She runs the house.

Awww, that's cute. Her brothers and sisters are scattered all over. I wish I could have taken two right away, but only took one.
Philosophy is the crutch of the unhappy intellectual, this complex act of mental masturbation, this search for meaning, this erroneous exercise, executed by the mind and ego's need for complication coupled with the anomalous human want of misery. Lost, malcontent, the philosopher, the artist questions and explains. "Explains what?" anything, everything, NOTHING, an exercise in futility. The happy man, the truly, honestly, divinely happy man...

I have never met a truly happy man who was not a philosopher.
The people who question things only in trivial self absorbed ways, who want answers but don't want to think are the one's who seem miserable to me. Every child is born a natural philosopher. Questioning, asking, seeking. When they stop some people seem to see that as growing up. I see it as the end of them actually living.
Anyway, hope the new year is treating you well.

You're very welcome! Happy happy new year to you!!
My recent past is a blur, I move at the speed of light, suspended, eyes, still wet from sleep. I think of Sarah, and those beautiful, young, uncomprehending eyes, of the music that played softly the one night she became more than a warm cunt in a warm bed. Brooke, and those artic, glacial seas wrapped round her optic nerve, Chaucer, the tattoo that was...
