It is pretty...where is that from? Or is that just you?

I usually the glass half full girl, but I think I was just cranky yesterday because of the heat and not feeling very well. It unfortunately happens from time to time.

Ah summer, love and fear intermingled, blended. I have never felt more loved, and yet more alone, it is a time of contradictions. Writing is not an option right now, I have nothing to say, it's time to be quiet, time to listen.

A worn out joke to keep the flies away
Carried it this far
Got the west side winds to keep it steady...

I'm going to be gone for awhile. This place isn't what I need, I've been letting real things slip away and I need to focus on my life and making myself happy again. I'll be back in a few months, in the meantime anyone who wants to contact me should e-mail me at Report_Thought_Crime@yahoo.com, but not for a few weeks. Much love to all.

I am going to do something unorthodox, most of you have not read much of my writing, so out of context I'm going to post a section that I'm struggling with, a parft that I'm not sure works. I want you all to read it, then tear it to shreds, verballly, intellectualy, violently, sexually if need be. School me.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I'm always more than happy to read anything you have to say.
Dialogue is super akward to write, and I'm thrilled to see you don't use any of the disgusting "he said" "she said" bullshit. urgh. anyone who uses that in their stories has no place in writing in the first place.
suggestion wise: try to kind of separate the conversations with narration--make it a clear difference between when it's him talking to the vegan and him talkign to his girlfriend. it gets all muddled towards the end there and you lose track of who is saying what. try finding different ways to say "____ said"; i.e. "(s)he interjected/declared/added/etc."
hope that helps

*hits head on desk* i just deleted your comment on accident. im sorry.

Tired today, I wonder where all the time goes. The sun is at the center of Gemini, and my sn sign is enhanced, stretched to an almost comic deggree. I forget sometimes that being Gemini can be exhausting. Time to rest, I am happy in a very quiet way but I wonder if I will ever get used to sleeping alone.

I certainly hope you aren't a mere figment of my imagination, it would be rather devastating because I had so much faith in the fact that you were one of the few remaining intellectual, compassionate human beings that I know.
"I am happy in a very quiet way" that made me smile. you are beautiful.
Sleeping alone is one of my least favorite things, I hope you are able to find someone to fill your empty bed. kiss

ouch! it's true though, i can't deny it. this is why i generally keep my mouth shut!

That menu is dead sexy !!

Very nice with the sorbet before the foie.

I still wish I was getting to come to dinner ;-)

I made a special today, it was Seared Arctic char, summer veg (long julienne) in a shallot cream, with Basil Buerre Blanc, garniished of course with a micro greens and basil salad.

It was yummy !!

speaking of which... its almost June... the stores should be displaying Christmas items shortly... Happy Holidays!

and totally random... you should read The Holographic Universe by Michael Talbot. I think it would be right up your alley.

If you walk away I walk away
first tell me which road you will take
I don't want to risk our paths crossing somday
so you walk that way I'll walk this way

and the future hangs over our heads
and it moves with each current event
until it falls all around like a cold steady rain
just stay in when it's lookin' this way...

sigh... I used to be a Star Wars geek... until Lucas ruined it for me (I thought that last one was as bad as a Mexican soap opera). Boba Fett is still the shit though.

ninjatoes:
I know right! And the thing is, I've seen him in other movies and he wasn't nearly as bad as in Star Wars

I feel very internal lately; withdrawn further into my head for fear of what's going on inside of it. I am a romantic and an optimist and a dreamer, ergo the grass is always greener. I wonder if I'm ever going to be able to be settled in anything. If I allow my thoughts to escape I will firebomb my entire life, burn my shelter...

Billy doesn't work at the Tac. anymore. He's still the chef, but mostly he presides over his new restaurant DF over in the Pearl district. Which is fine by me cause he's an asshole.
automatic:
Yeah. Used to work at the Taq. before my time.

very good to hear. its a rarity that anyone can say that with any amount of confidence or sincerity. seems like in today's world, most people 'settle', 'make do', or just plain give up.

i read your comment in fukidunno's journal. i think descartes was just wrong in his 'fundamental cleavages'..... his dualism sets humans up as self-duelists (pun intended).
