My Bluetooth barcode scanner arrived today. Now I can scan all my books and such into Delicious Monster Library! That is, if I could get the damned thing to work.
I have it all connected, but the software won't display the Bluetooth button that tells it to import the barcode information using the scanner.
I've checked the help pages, and none of that worked,...

Yep, Thanksgiving on Thursday. I'd give anything for some of my grandmother's dinner rolls and pumpkin pie. Never again, though.
Other than that not much going on. I haven't updated in a few days, but there's not a whole lot to tell.
I may apply to the University of Edinburgh.

Pale brows, still hands and dim hair,
I had a beautiful friend

I've been doing more drinking than ever. I'm pretty sure I could out do even you. Its the irish in me, I'm sure.
I got my grad school applications submitted today. This involved a desperate search for my GRE score reports. For some reason they need these scores in the applications, despite the fact that they also request the scores be sent directly from the testing authority.
But I found them. Unfortunately. My math Subject Test score is abysmal. Granted, they're scored against people all over the world,...

venice:
I don't know. Are they? That kind of woman isn't really my type, personally.
aaardvark:
If I had half a chance, I'd be there in a second. But I know what you mean. Games.
I just talked to MathGirl. On the telephone! And she didn't seem the least bit angry with me, or afraid of my insanity, or anything.
Is it pathetic that this makes me extraordinarily happy?
All in all, we had a delightful conversation. And though I didn't ask outright, of course, it doesn't seem that she's living with my rival. Yay!

how cute!
I wish I could hate her. Things would be so easy, then. I could forget her, and get on with life. Hate is simple.
But what I feel for her, whatever it is, is complicated and difficult. Though I hurt beyond my endurance to deal with it rationally, I am terrified by the mere thought of living without her.
And I'm in this perpetual limbo,...

The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche-Gumee.
The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead,
When the skies of November turn gloomy.

Than the Edmund Fitzgerald weighed empty.
That good ship and true was a bone to be chewed

Oh no, you found me out! You know I'll have to kill you now...

I have never claimed to be remotely ladylike.
I've really screwed things up, and I don't know how to fix it. Or even if things can be fixed.
I'm tired of being sick. Maybe I need help.

Yeah, I love my quirky life, always throwing the unexpected at me. Keeps things interesting, you know? And I know I complain about it alot, but I bet I would complain more if I was bored to hell.
How did you screw things up, shug?

You have no idea how evil I can be. No one ever believes it until they get stuck right in the middle. I swear, it'd probably be worse for you.
venice:
Are you sure the evil people won't just tear each other apart? Because I may be eveil, but I'm also very sensitive.
So, MathGirl is moving. Her roommate was kind of a pain in the ass. I have this terrible fear, however, that she's moving in with the ex-ex-boyfriend. You all probably think I'm paranoid, or that I think she's some sort of major tramp, but I assure you this isn't the case.
Remember a while back when I suspected she had a new boyfriend? And was...

They certainly are. It's insane and unimaginable how they can escape. But yeah octopuss are amazing. I've seen them in action. They can sqeeze thru a hole the size of a quarter to get some munches.
Amazing creature they are indeed.
Yeah, I've got nothing today. It's Wednesday.
But I have next Friday off work! Yay!
PS. Have I mentioned that I'm in love with Kari on MythBusters?

I feel the same. If it had been some random forward or whatever I would've just deleted it, but it was an email written by my sister just for me (so, not spam), which is why I bothered looking into it at all.

aaardvark:
Eh, a little bit of both. We'll see.
Is it terrible that every Halloween I turn out all the lights and sit home?
My car just had a broken wire between the battery and the starter. Luckily no big deal! Yay!
Even I catch a break once in a while.
Despite my usual compaining about how things suck, I'm doing ok. Really. Things could be worse, and I'm something of a survivor.
And tomorrow is Friday!

The only good thing about it, other than seeing NIN again, was it all being free. That was good times. I did get to see Soulfly, too, and I've always wanted to. Plus, they're touring with Throw Down. So it wasn't a total bust.
aaardvark:
What went wrong with your car?
