Saint Paul is much the same; way too much snow in a short amount of time. At least the landlord finally plowed my parking space. Haven't been to eau claire since I was a kid. It's on my list of places to stop by sometime on my way driving to Green Bay. That and Wittenberg; home of Neuske's.

you should hit up the landmark tomorrow night for $2 tuesdays. i'll be there for sure, & Monet is there most every week so.........

I hope the funeral helped you feel better. Being surrounded by other people who also feel what you're feeling really helps. That time to just cry, feel sad, acknowledge the love you feel, and feel the love from the people who are there with you ... it's all really beautiful when you think about it. And then there's the party afterwards ... I like those better than wedding receptions!

I almost went to see Triplets of Belleville last weekend, and now I wish I had. It's gone. Instead I went to see The Butterfly Effect so I could do a movie review for the hometown paper. That's one of the fun things I get to do out here.

sorry to hear about your grandpa. All grandparents love to see their grandchildren do well for them selves. All you got to is keep on keeping on, and if there is an after life I'm sure he smiles.
On a lighter note, inresponce to your question. I do, do stained glass I kind of just started, but I'm doing well. I've allways dabbled alittle in the arts. Now I'm working on some thisels, blue bells, and berries. take care, later

No, saturday won't be our first show, but it's pretty close. Should be interesting.

Sucks about the funeral... stuff like that is always hard. It also seems like western cultures tend to have far darker funeral traditions than their eastern counterparts.

You're right, though; living in the present is the truly hard thing to achieve in this lifetime. Hope tomorrow goes well for you.

i never knew one of my grandfathers...he died years before i was born. the second died when he was in his late 70s and i was in my early 20s. he was sick and hospitalized for a couple weeks and i never went and visited. complete denial that grandpa could possiby be leaving. i still wasn't accepting days later at the funeral.

sometime later i hit a rough spot in my own life, and turned to memories of grandpa. i realized then how much he had taught me, and the values he gave me. it was then that i missed him the most.

when people at the services sob, or when you do, remind them or yourself of the contributions he made to you and the family. say them out loud.

those things--the values and memories and things taught--live forever. it's not an abstract concept like grandpa in heaven--grandpa lives on in you and all he touched.

I see a good applied kineseologist. He adjusts whatever is wrong with me. Last year for the first time in 20 years I had no seasonal allergies. He is also good with my neck and jaw issues.

snow shoveling is good honest work. why back in my day, we'd shovel extra driveways to make enough money to buy bags of pot and other necessities we needed to get through the winter. half the pot we smoked helped make the snow shoveling more bearable. that mean we could shovel more snow so we could buy more pot. it was a vicious cycle that didn't end until spring.

i don't think sex ruins relationships, unless people decide it's more than just a way to exchange fluids and gross out the family pet. but, i also follow the old rule ... lovers and cars come and go, friends are forever.
