Thank god its no longer Tuesday...

Does anyone remember that Berocca ad? The one where the two middle aged ladies fly with the sun to spend thirty minutes in about five cities over thirty hours on the same day. Big fucking waste of time. But this brings me to Tuesday. My Tuesday.

Unlike Your Tuesday, My Tuesday was a little bit different. My Tuesday started when I crossed into the Australian Eastern Time zone, in a plane bound for Auckland. The movie was shit, and the guy next to me decided both seats were his personal leg space. I didn't sleep.

Auckland is a very cool city from what I saw. Of course I only went from the Airport to the city, but nonetheless I was still pretty impressed. The place is so hilly, there looks like awesome MTB trails everywhere. I was rather confused by a place called Britomart. Mainly because of the name. It sounds like a laundromat. Its apparently just the central train/bus station.

I got some breakfast at the airport. It cost $6.40, giving me $43.60 from a $50 note. I laughed. The chick looked at me funny.

It rained a lot in Auckland. I was in Alfred (I think?) park checking out the statues, the big guns, and chasing a bird when the heavens opened. I packed well. My umbrella got a workout. The sky tower is large. Very large. I went up it. There's glass floors. I wasn't keen to stand on them.

A few photos later, and some very sore legs I decided to kick it back to the airport, and a few hours after that I was on the way to San Francisco.

Thirteen hours in Auckland leaves me with a fairly good impression of the city, if not the country. Although I still chuckle everytime Kiwis say fifty, or six.

My Tuesday ended by passing out on my mate's couch, 42 hours and 15000km away.

Hell yes! I want to learn much about these cultural travelings of yours as I will be undertaking my own at the end of the year.

When do you get back? I've been planning on planning a meet for a while now.
