It rained hard last night. I slept with the window open. The sound of the falling drops bathing the city sang me to sleep on a cool breeze.

No word back about the A/V job yet. I'm going to call him today. The Physical Therapy interview went well. She was frighteningly intelligent. I'm not used to being interviewed by such a sharp preson. It was...

Well, things have turned around. I had an interview yesterday that went really well. It's for setting up A/V shit & playing stage manager for hotels & shit. They also have editing & duplication services back at the office. The guy was a really cool studio rat from Culver City. It could be a good slacker job. He's also talking about starting an audio editing...

so, just a question: if you took two part time jobs, would that be as much work as taking the full time job? - if that's the case, i gotta say go for the full time gig. it really sounds like it's what you want, and having a good job is an important part of being happy (if for not other reason than b/c it takes so much time).
of course - it sounds like school is really your first priority. so if 'dream job' keeps you from that ... you gotta go for school.
jeez. in the end, i guess that wasn't very helpful?
but congrats on your job search going so well. smile

the av thing sounds like it could be really good. keep yourself out there and take advantage of the opportunities that you dig up [if they offer nd you have not heard from the other place and it' a job you want, take it don't look back].

re: abs. since I've been going to the gym - I've gained 10 pounds but fit into my pants again. surreal I do most of my ab work on a machine so as not to stress my back.I hope it gets better.

I'm taking a break on my homework. I'm trying to get as much done as possible before the SOX game. I know that it's a long shot and most don't care, but hey, it's a good distraction.

I haven't had a chance to fix the skylight on the ROCK VAN yet, so of course it's begun to rain. Now, don't get me wrong. I LOVE...

Ya know, I've actually been busy the last few days.

I bought a new ROCK VAN! It's a big ass `78 Ford Econoline E-250. It did well on the test drive and it passed smog check. It's been rebuilt and is in pretty good shape. The only things wrong with it are a little play in the front end, the transmission is a little slow...

congrats on the new wheels. I don't know what trophy games Iowa is involved in [my guess would be maybe against Iowa St or Minnesota?] Michign and Minnesota have played for that thing since there was a riot at a game in 1903.

Sorry I haven't updated lately. I was hoping people would check out some songs from my band's web site. Also, I've been down, down, down. Lot's o' sleepy sleep. No work. Unemployment running out. What the hell do I do now???

The Milken Family Found job fell through, my pal ended up needing capenters, not an assistant. I looked into being a motorcylce messenger,...

Got my unemployment check today. Woo hoo! So, I promptly went to the Trader Joe's and got a coupla bags o' groceries. That included the TJ aged spirit of McCallan. It's very good for $16 if you're a scotch drinker. I rationalize that it's MUCH cheaper than going out & drinking.

I'm so glad to have my motorcycle back. It's like getting my life back!...

what is scotch like? i've always wanted to try it .. but new kinds of liquor intimdate me.
have a good rehearsal smile

Macallan is one of my favs. I love the sherry cask family of scotches. Dhalmore is a great affordable one. TJs bought surplus Macallan spirit and aged it in their *own* oak casks. So, it's a different flavor Macallan (it's not so sweet) you can get for $16! It's weird buying scotch with a TJs label, but I assure you it's suprisingly good. They have three other varieties they aged on their own as well. Bowmore is a great every day scotch that will satisfy many palates. I've gone through many bottles and was glad it was there when I couldn't afford my $32 bottles.

Bi bim bop sounds good....

Scotch is an acquired taste and I don't think you should try it without being "introduced" by someone who might help guide you. It was like learning about wine for me. I had to find out what I liked, but I also had to learn how to appreciate it.

Scotch is very complex. It involves smoked peat moss as well as aging in a variety of casks. Each town has their own brand in Scotland and they're all unique. A glass of Scotch will often change in character from the first sip to the bottom of the glass.

If you like Irish Whiskey, you should have no problem adapting. Other whiskies would be kinda similar. Burboun, Canadian, Rye.

Aw man, now I'm getting all excited. Don't get me started. I might start talking about cognac! I'm off for a dram!
