yay for the new car and makin' babies! Hope that your obgyn is a good one and is sensitive to your desire to have a baby.

so i got a new doctor. that much is good. he says that he doesnt really like the idea of me getting pregnant (as did my old doctor and the other jerk of a doctor i saw last week) but at least he's willing to talk about it. there are two issues that are causing these three doctors to say that:

one is my mental...

Best childbearing years are 22-30 based on a woman's physical state.

I'm 26, I have 2 kids, and I think that I'm one hell of a mom...so that aspect certainly is your decision.

I'm sorry your doctors are giving you a hard time. It drives me crazy when people are trying to be responsible and they are given a hard time.

If this doctor doesn't make you happy, try another. Even if they say similar things, a good one will be supportive and try to work with you even when he or she is offering their professional opinions. They should give you more of an explanation than 'just wait - you have plenty of time' as well.

i went to a new psychiatrist today to see if i could switch to a safer brand of prescription medicine for the pregnancy. she was sooooo mean and basically told me that i wasnt fit to be a mother because of my mental condition. she was the least professional doctor i have ever talked to. i am really sad right now. blackeyed

and my god, you are obviously a caring mother from what you are trying to do! Yes, you have to be more careful, but you are already being pro-active and educating yourself, and trying to find the best options for you and the baby. That shows what kind of mother you are.

lightmeetsdark:
Thank you for your kindness. smile How is the babymaking coming? Are you guys actually charting your cycles, etc, to try to optimize timing? I can give you tips! biggrin

for a baby boys name, we're pretty stuck on tristan.

but for a girl, we are debating between madison, dakota, and trinity.

give me your thoughts please!

p.s. love you guys.

I think you're right. It's also so disturbing to me that it seems to be increasing so much among teenage girls. And that it can be seen as kind of a hobby, in a way. There are "pro-cutting" groups on LJ, just as there are pro-eating disorders groups. Populated mostly by teenage girls, of course.

Thanks so much for the comment blush blush
