This post is really just to reaffirm my own existence-- I feel like I've been out of step with reality for a bit, and I need to start pulling myself back in. If I succeed, or make any progress at all, I'll soon come back to write all about my fun with financial exhaustion, the pros and cons of short-term romance (a.k.a. "expiration dating,") nifty...

Kewl. I'll be checking in.

I'm about to shoot another hopeful set, too.

Might as well keep trying! It sure beats sitting around.
maeven:
Oh, I meant checking in on SG. No beantown plans at the moment. Sorry smile

Goodness, where to begin?
Well, the other day some jackass kicked in my door and stole my photo kit. Just grabbed the whole bag-- camera, lenses, flashes, flash cards, a backup drive, etc. That's about all they took of mine-- they were going for my PC, but it looks like they were interrupted (our guess is the FedEx guy rang the doorbell and they got...

My friend misamisa has just posted her first set, Cut It Up I'm actually pretty proud of it-- I mean, the worst thing I think I did was forget to iron. Alas, it went in the Hopefuls pile, so help her get it to the front page, won't you? Constructive criticism goes here.

Ping.
Peoples, recommend me some steampunk!
mimo_:
i'd recommend "steamboy," but you've most likely seen it...

and i found it actually rather annoying.
mimo_:
the voiceovers and neverending argument between the little boy's father and grandfather. and, yes, the voiceovers, but i'm just picky in that regard.

i haven't actually seen live action deathnote...but that's probably because i'm avoiding it at all costs. actually, i think i avoid all live action when it comes to anime.

p.s. still been thinking about the deathnote set, if you're up to it.

Another rejected set, this time from Calista. Go check out Discovering the Garden, our own little homage to too many years of Catholic indoctrination.
biteofreality:
*comfort* Sorry for the rejected set frown I love the snake and the setting and theme, plus the girl is great smile

Goodluck! I give it much love smile

BTW I just put some of my faeries up smile

faint has ANOTHER set in the Second Chance pile. Fine, I suck. But clearly, she does not. But she is getting disheartened, folks. Her set is here. Even if you don't loooooooooove the set and vote it live for SCS, at least give her the glowing praise she deserves (and if it really doesn't suck, I'm not above fishing for compliments eitherwink )
apathy:
those were very pretty interesting pink wings thanks =)

I never thought I'd get to being okay with being single. Rather, I never thought I'd be okay with being divorced before 30, and reconcile the feelings of betrayal with the sense that ultimately, this is the better thing for the rest of my life. But to quote my dad (who is wise if not tactful,) "at least she took off before you knocked her...

What the fuck is going on?!?!?!? What happened in Maine and why are so many people so horribly traumatized over it?!?
....well, everyone lived, right? And if anyone were, like, maimed or raped they would've been treated already, right? This is just nasty bruises, cattiness, and possibly some bad pictures floating around, right?

You know, this is supposed to be the happy, close-knit global community...

I need to blog more. I spent a couple months at the beginning of this year travelling about the country, and posting about all my fun in the two left time zones. Then I spent the next couple months readjusting to being home and waiting for my wife to finish her traveling so we could start being married like we said we would. Then I...

Dunno. Life's weird. A pile of pyrrhic victories.

I'm proud of the work I've produced these last couple months (some of which I hope you'll see here soon,) but either I haven't been paid, I've forfeited copyright, or in one case, both.

I've learned to take care of myself, defend myself, better myself in ways I never could before, but only after...
