Portland is really pretty from what I hear - both my brother and my ex loved the place. Brother now lives in Seattle and probably will NEVER come back to Texas if he can help it... So yeah, Pacific Northwest for the win.

Christmas can be brutal if you are single and wanting someone.
But, to lighten your spirit I too took a B-sci-fi movie to my grandparents to watch Christmas eve, turns out it was a B-porn with a sci-fi theme......so yeah that was awkward, but I thought it was funny.
