A phone call early this morning gave me the bad news. A very good friend of mine, who had fought cancer for the last 3 years had passed away at 2 am. She was 36 years old.

She worked on Monday, went into the hospital on Wednesday and was gone last night.

Well, well, well.....another week has almost gone by.

No snow on the ground....yet....the temp is hovering right around freezing. Maybe we will miss snow. I heard the forecast this morning and by Tuesday it could be in the lower 70's.....that would be sooooooooooooo nice!

A little sunshine is peaking through this morning !

The new seat and highway bars for my motorcycle came via UPS late yesterday afternoon, so today will be the day to get them put on and have my spirits picked up a little, by dreams of nice riding days to come. Photos of the bike to come later today.

Cold, wind, rain, ice....need I say more?

Raccoons jumping from the tree onto the roof this morning....what a way to be awakened at 5:30!

I think today needs to be rewound and started over...only with a much better script.

What is the deal with bed head hair? I never used to have it...now...bingo !...every morning ! Am I grinding my head into my pillow each night, and if so, why ?

Laundry today.....I've already got it started. At least 3 loads today....I've been a dirty boy this past week...hehehe

When you were a kid, do you remember watching a cartoon where there was a huge shadow moving across a wall....and then you found out it was just something very small, like a mouse or a bug, that was casting the huge shadow that looked like a monster?

Ordered the new seat for my motorcycle. Also ordered highway bars that are designed with a built in foot rest. They will be here by the end of the week and I'll get them both put on this weekend. I'll take some pics once they're on and post them here.

Snow geese were flying this morning as I went out to the mailbox to ge the newpaper. They were really making a racket....it was fun to hear them. There were several groups of them, the sky was nearly full of geese. One group made a circle and then landed in the cornfield behind the house....a few of them split off and landed on the pond....
