My great grandma died a couple years ago. She was the one who raised me until I was about 12. I loved her very much. She was put into a home for the sick and elderly. It was hard on her, and it angered me to see her in there. It was a death house, full of lost hope. She passed in the night. I still have dreams about her once and a while. It was too difficult for my aunts to care for her all the time. They lacked the facilities to fufill her needs. Im sure your visits mean the world to your Nana and thats all one can do. Its funny, my great grandma was the only one of all my family who never gave me shit about my dreads and tattoos and piercings, in fact she though they looked good. She would always play with my dreads and chuckle and say, "My what a handsome boy you have become". She was great.

Also, yeah, I used to be in the camp that thought "oh man, there's no WAY he'll get re-elected". Then I saw his popularity ratings after they "won" the war, and remembered it's the same group of people that elected him to begin with. Everyone I know hates the guy... I think he's like brittany spears or something... everyone you TALK to hates them, but they're still around, and famous, and evidently -somebody- is rooting for them. =)

hehe yeah, I agree with you on the breast feeding thing (perhaps more than my original journal entry would have indicated). I'm all about breast feeding... people who think that a synthetic formula can provide everything that the human body is supposed to are nuts. :/

My only qualm with breast feeding per se is that it creates a very random and somewhat awkward situation that nobody is really prepared for. I mean, normally when you're around a bunch of people that you don't know (on a bus or whatever), you'll look around, and make occaisional eye contact with people, and that sort of thing. When all of a sudden, someone whips it out and starts feeding a kid, you don't want to just stare at that person, cos then you'd be a fucking creep. But then, you can't really make normal eye contact, so you just try to avoid looking in that direction altogether. Or maybe I'm just really weird and thinking too much into it. =)

But yeah, what's your hummer story? Did you win one in the lottery or something?

Happy New Year! I just thought I would say hello... and DUDE! I soooo miss Buffy! The only thing that I've found that is close is a silly lil 30 minute number called "Scrubs." It's my new favorite - Angel is lackluster and 24 is too much... I get all twisted up inside. Scrubs has the right blend of comedy and tragedy that polarizes my piercings Anyway, again - Happy New Year, many happy returns.
