Been trying to avoid political issues eg war, Bush Supreme court nominee, global warming, high gas prices etc. I feel guilty because I now have central air conditioning and have actually used it, in spite of my green leanings, but just received the first summer electric bill and concede that yes, AC is a luxury.

As an American I am concerned that our president will continue to alienate Europeans by intimidation and false bravado. It is really scary because he doesn't seem to have a clue that "we" are only one country in the world and can't seem to acknowledge our contributions to global pollution, energy consumption, world poverty and our hypocrisy. Rant over.

I hope 2005 will bring such overwhelming anti-war sentiment that our born again christian former party boy arranged marriaged fascist prone president Bush is forced to acknowledge the futility of his neocon vision of world domination through democratic imperialism and is forced to resign, or at least omigod, apologize for his mistakes.

Morgan's journal made me think about how many people are taking antidepressants including me and why we seem to need them so much. Could it be our materialistic sexualized culture has not found the promised satisfaction it hoped for?
