Speaking of bands growing up. Last night I went to this show to see one of my friends play before he leaves for Eastern Europe for the Peace Corp. What he didn't tell me was that it was going to be old home night of members of bands that my old band used to share a practice space with. anyway, they were all youngr than us by a couple of years so we felt like the big brother band, if that makes sense. So, I missed the friend that I went to see, but I got to see another one's new band play. I hadn't seen most of those cats in, like, seven years. Anyway, the new band blew me away. Very good, and my friend was singing now, which was a total shock, who knew he could sing so good? I was just filled with all sorts of big bro pride, you know? It was pretty awesome.
