I have a son (and a daughter). I would never do something that personal to my child. This is something i think he has to decide of his own. I think every person has his/her own right over there own body. If he want to do this when he grows up, then go a head. But I cant understand how I could take that decision for him. It is his body.

As far as I know the only reason to do it is for religious reasons, and frankly the idea of devoting a child to god b4 they could possibly have any clue as to what that means is presumptuous at the very least. I have never heard of a medical reason for it to b done from any remotely legitimate source. Which just leaves it as child mutilation for the sake of the "norm", no different from things we regularly consider barbaric like foot-binding or the removal of ribs to allow for tighter fitting corsets.
