i think you are not alone.
i was so excited to be single again for like......2 months or more.
then one night, boom! i'm so fucking lonely i'd ask a crackhead for a hug.
i took a bath. didn't help. walked the dog. nope. cleaned. worse. drank. worst idea ever.
just hang in there i guess. at some point someone will come along and sweep you up, and then 6 months into it you'll be wishing you were single again.
cosmic irony.
but loneliness is the fucking best thing in the world for creativity. and your relationships with your friends gets better, too.
i'll stop rambling now.
good luck
How many people can say they've had a tamandua lick their fingers? Or had a night monkey about a foot from their face, just watching intently? Or how about a sloth directly over head, waiting for you to give it dinner?
I have a friend at the fire station who works as an EMT there.
I hope your not mad at me. Every time I see you on line I IM you and you never respond. That, or your not around your computer.
Be warned: I'm going to sound like a crybaby. Also be warned: I don't give a fuck.
I feel like none of my "friends" like me anymore. People who used to come over to my place and watch TV and just chill... don't anymore. People who used to invite me over for movies, or out for food, don't anymore. People who used to love coming... Read More
Change can be good. There are a lot of people that will be friends for awhile because it suits their purpose. Not meaning to be too much of a cynic, but that ends up being the case. Your real friends will be with you forever, wherever you go. You should go somewhere else. Life should be about living not existing.
I'm going to steal Elise's and Flick's kitties. Cuteness overload.
In other news, I almost burned down my apartment last night. I got home from volunteering at the zoo and preheated the oven. Forgetting that I had a huge plastic bowl with leftover popcorn in there so that my cats wouldn't eat it. I was on the phone with EricAllen when I opened... Read More
if you steal those kitties plus your kitties PLUS yourself there, that apartment will officially violate public statute and zoning laws for overwhelming cuteness quotient!
You know, no one's ever been in love with me? No, honestly, I've fallen head over heels in love several times, and not one of them fell in love back...
Sometimes it's falling in love with yourself first that helps. At least for me when I'm feeling most confident and secure is when things usually go well.
I wish I was up there too. It's ridiculous, almost funny, but I have more friends it would seem in Seattle and the NW than I do here where I am. I'm already looking into heading up there sometime later this winter perhaps.
I'm pretty happy today. I sorted through some emotional issues, and I feel much better about some things in my life My job is still crap, but what are ya gonna do?
Also, this Thursday I'm leaving on a jet plane (insert music note here) for Ohio!! I haven't seen my family in so long, so I'm going for a short little visit. I'm mainly... Read More
Sorry you're not having a good time of it right now. Try not to get soured on the whole trust thing. When it does work out, it can be really amazing. But I know what you mean, I'm always really cautious with people when I am getting to know them. I'm very protective of myself, physically and emotionally. The problem is that if you stay too closed off and keep too much to yourself, you miss out on what others have to offer you. It's like walking a tightrope sometimes. Or all of the time.
