You need to really open up to everyone and not be afraid of what people think of you. I mean also look who you are talking about we are all loud ass annoying people most of the time, so I doubt any of us will think your are annoying. There is nothing to be afraid of girl, just come up and strike up a conversation. We are all very close with each other and are all very social people, you just have to interact with everyone as well. Its a give and take thing ya know?? I think your cool, so just be yourself and talk to everyone and you will see really quick that we dont judge others and are open friendly people. I got one of the jobs..still waiting on the other two. I start Monday. It's a dollar less, and less hours (as of right now), but it is also less stressfull. I'm excited, maybe at this job I'll be able to have fun. The retail job I work at now I get in trouble for joking around with the costumers. I almost walked out yesterday....

It's probably best to give a two week notice. You never know when burning bridges is going to get you in trouble. Good luck though. I wish I could help you out w/ the art school thing, but I don't know of any.
For what it's worth, I've worked in a meat department at a grocery store for several years and I hear racist shit all the time. I just ignore it and try to do my job. I'm sure that's not the best thing to do, but there's not much good I could do no mattter what, so I just try not to let it bother me. I guess that's not the most helpful advice, but maybe it's something.
