Musings

There is not theme behind this post apart from the need to update and put some words down. I get like that sometimes, Its the same with this little notebook which I carry around with me in my bag. Its a diary of sorts, as in I write down the date and time but it is really just a book for jotting odd thoughts...

I thought I would do some self promotion. Like most people on the internet I have a few blogs and other things online that you might be interested in. I know you are probably not interested and this post isn't meant as a "look at me, I am amazing" post but more of a "oh yeah, i'm on twitter..." etc.

So if you are interested...

I feel a bit glum. After riding on a high after going to New York and being on the "Tell 'em Steve-Dave!" podcast (read all about it here). I finally got round to listening to the next episode and in it Walt calls me a "fuck up" for getting star struck. I know not to take it personally as Walt and the rest of...

I don't think it matters that much dude. I just read your last blog and it sounds like it was an amazing experience at the time, so don't let a throw-away comment detract from that.
mat8drb:
Yeah, I wouldn't take that personally. Mainly because (a) it is their sense of humour and that's more of a ribbing and (b) you're awesome. Job done.

"Concrete jungle where dreams are made of..."

Ok, it's been a few weeks since I went to New York and I still haven't really written about it so I thought I would try to write about it now. It is a bit of a daunting task in a way as we did so much and I don't really know where to start...

Everyone knows New...

What makes you, you?

I have had many looks over the years but I myself don't really have a style. Fashion-wise I mix and match. I still wear some clothes that I bought in the early 90's. Sometimes I feel the need to dress up and sometimes I dress down and I always feel like I am finding my way. I have had many hairstyles....

I have worn glasses for nearly 20 years. Although, I didn't start wearing them all the time until ten years ago. But luckily, I could opt for contact lenses, so people didn't even realise I needed them. However, the past year I have been wearing them solidly, as my prescreption has changed (damn you eyes). I too was also beginning to wonder what fancy dress outfits I could do with the glasses. I also need to accept that glasses on my face are part of my life.

I love how you have acepted that 'glasses and beard' is you. I always thought of that as you, and you look cool like that biggrin. Perhaps because I wear glasses too, I don't think you automatically look like everyone else in glasses. Although, you do look a little bit like Rivers - similar shaped face.

I know what you mean about glasses...
I think I'm on my fourth (fifth?) pair of oakleys. usually wire-rimmed, and yeah, usually dark grey/brown or black.

at least Boots were kind enough to put you in touch with the manufacturers. I kinda expected it to be a "we can't get them. the end"
