Here's a few suggestions for cool stuff to hang:

Take a bunch of pics of local architecture, plants, etc... B&W or color and put the prints in frames- the dollar store is a great place to find cheap ones.

Also, this stuff is really cool. (But since you are lucky enough to be able to paint, you could easily stencil patterns, or symbols, or a big quote).

Anyway, nice green.
