Why are none of my friends updating their journals? I require amusement. Watchmaker, you're covered, but for the rest of you slackers, GET TO WORK!

So, I just moved into my new apartment this weekend. It's the second and third levels of a three-level victorian on Munjoy Hill in Portland. The whole thing has really nice hardwood floors and is in great condition. My bedroom is on the third floor and has a view of Back Cove. My roommates are kickass (a smart Polish waitress who likes to talk religion...

Sounds like a cool pad. You MUST be referring to Amato's. They are definitely the best. My Dad lived here back in the 60's and he would park his GTO on the Prom and eat his $0.25 Amato's Italian. I can't believe anyone would choose Subway?!?! How do they survive in this town? And just out of curiosity, what are you're two favorite restaurants? Bella Cocina was mine, but they closed frown Walter's is pretty awesome, as is the Pepper Club.
graycen:
I agree with Watchmaker. Amato's is SO much better then Subway! Definitely the best!

I'm not really sure how the whole SG dating profile thing works...but ANYWAY... as soon as you said " Indiefuck" I knew EXACTLY what you meant. *chuckle* In fact, when I first read your journal you reminded me of an " Indiefuck" I already know...

*Hey the word "Indiefuck" is pretty catchy! I happen to like it because "fuck" is one of my most favorite words of all time! You know...you better copywrite it quick before someone steals it!

My friends have decided to subject me to an unrequested high-pressure setup. [SARCASM] Yeah. THIS will go well... [/SARCASM]

Venice talks to chickens. Her journal reminded me of this story so I told it to her. So I'm sharing it with you all.

I have this friend Ben, who used to live close to a farm when we were little. When we were about ten, he got really mad at his parents and decided to run away into the woods. He packed all his...

Heh, that's a funny story. biggrin

That story is so funny. smile

I am, in general, a kind of sad person, but I am also in a lot of ways a very happy person. So you should worry too much. I'll find what I'm looking for, once I figure out what it really is. I firmly believe that life gives you what you need when you're ready for it.

So yes, hiking. It was a-fucking-mazing. Great times were had by all. I smoked up for the first time. (you: "The first time EVER?????" me: "Yes, the first time ever.") Met cool people from all over the US and beyond. Was reared up on by a rattlesnake. Walked 600 miles in two months and 26 miles in one day. Was rained on, hailed on, snowed...

sounds beautiful.

I was watching this stupid thing on VH1 last night about how rich people buy their own islands. and I sat there watching as they listed off these islands and how many millions these people paid for them and I thought, if I had my own private island, I'd never freakin leave! ha.

sorry I guess the whole beach thing made me think of that. tongue

The only celebrity I ever met was John Tesh. Nice guy. He bought my college radio station some expensive-ass equipment, and did a weekly call-in segment for one of our shows. I guess one of our DJ's was his stepson or something. He was tall. Tesh, I mean, not the stepson. Well... actually both I guess. It's a good thing he didn't have a saxaphone...

Hurrah! Shatne's New Set is up! I must say though... Even though I'm pleased that is shows lots of her divinely-sculpted body, it shows less of her awe-inspiring wit than her first set. But even so, it made a happy Sunday happier. Now... whom must I flatter, bribe, or blackmail to get Venice's set up before my account expires?

My weekend, mwantime, was lovely....

Oh and I'm leaving sg.

I go on three dates with a girl and start thinking love-of-my-life shit. Then I wanna see her several times a week, and call her too often. Then they freak out and run away. I'm like... when you're trying so hard to get a cigarette lit that you jam the match into the cigarette and accidentally put out a perfectly good flame.
best...analogy...EVER! right on dude!

Okay, so I've got this friend. A female friend. I met her through an online dating thing, and we went out a few times, I liked her, but then she started seeing someone else seriously, so we've remained friends. She's damn cool and an art student. She frustrates me sometimes, because she'll ignore me for a while, then come hang out and vent to me...

i wish you a safe journey!

i agree completely with Venice, it's prolly anything but D.

i would enjoy a postcard...i like postcards...postcards are spiffy.

good luck on all fronts!
monkboy:
Good luck on your hike. It would be cool if you had an online journal that you update when you get to town like the people at www.trailjournals.com. You could post some mail drop addresses and the SG could send you stickers to put in shelter journals.

Not much to say here...
What did you do today?
evanx:
Went to work.
Fucked around on the internet.
About to eat dinner and watch a movie The Wire.

So I had kind of a lousy day today (honestly, it's been a rough week or so, for dull reasons I don't want to get into. But point is I came home feeling really crappy. And the phone rang, and I saw that it was Bill, and I thought he was going to give me a hard time about not going rock climbing with him...

It's just the last pie I have planned in my list of pies to make for all the people who wanted pies after I started making them.
And not having a job is nice enough until you need money for all sorts of things, and then it gets to a point where you'd be willing to do anything.

goddamnit....just when i think the shite lot of retards i hang out with are getting decent, yr friends go and do something super cool...ass... wink

Here's a tip for the ladies:
If you agree to meet a guy at a bar with his friends at five, then you finally call at six-forty-five and tell him you don't want to take the time to go to where he is, so he should bail on his friends to come buy you dinner... While every man has his breaking point, that's well past...
