I feel much better today! A good nights sleep and things are more in perspective.

I am taking my daughter to A Bee Movie this weekend. We have bever been to a movie before, but she really wants to see it, so we will give it a shot. There is a matinee so hopefully she won't disturb anybody.

How was a Bee movie? I'm looking for a few movies to pick up for a younger cousin and was thinking that might be one of them.

Cool, I think it comes out next month. I'll probably pick it up.

Man, I have been very down lately. Maybe it is the weather, or maybe it is my being ill, or maybe I am just a little lonely. I have been going on a lot of dates lately, but I just haven't meant anyone with whom I connect. I think I need to meet people with whom I have more in common. Where I would meet...

I don't see any pics in your blog. Was that what you meant?

Yeah, that is what I was afraid of. Thanks.

Really bad poetry time!

i was looking for a cable in my basement, when I found this poem I had written 20 years ago. I guess you could say I was little depressed at the time.

The Dove

I am Prometheus
only it is not my liver
that is torn from my body
daily, it is my heart
Eagles do not feed
upon my flesh....

My drug story!

I no longer do drugs and I never did much to begin with. I would smoke pot when it was offered to me and I tried a few other things, but I never did a lot. That being said, this happened to me once upon a time.

When I was 16 and had my license for about 2 months a friend of...

WOW! That story is insane!!! I don't really drink any more than about a beer a week, if even that these days. I have driven intoxicated more than once, and holy crap am I ashamed! But you were a kid, not an adult, and seems to me you really had no clue what you were getting yourself into. It is pretty funny though in the end! wink

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

As far as I'm concerned, I was diagnosed as being bi-polar two years ago. Never went through treatment for it, mainly because of our shitty American healthcare system. Such a shame people that are mentally ill seem to get the short end of the stick, eh? At the time I was very suicidal too, and in the worst place in my life that I have ever been. But I've made some other changes in my life over this past two years that have improved my mental state immensely! That does not however mean these issues have somehow magically disappeared altogether. I have not revisted therapy since I was diagnosed, and I know I need to take care of that at some point. It's currently on my "To Do" list. wink

So yeah, basically I get pretty down on myself for my actions when my emotions get the best of me. I tend to irrationally freak out on people, then later feel horribly guilty and stupid about it and apologize as best I can. So I beat myself up over it. But really, I probably need more help than simple will-power to overcome the issues I have.... And this is me spilling way more beans than necessary, I'm sure!!!! But you said you'd dealt with the bi-polar stuff, so I felt compelled to jibber jabber about it. tongue

P.S. The above mentioned issues are also why I don't drink much anymore. Alcohol majorly compounds my emotional instability and sends me into a tailspin. Not to mention the hangovers!

Any insight you'd like to offer would be highly appreciated! Just shoot me a PM. smile

I started a new job last week and it is a little tedious right now, but part of my duties will be to find a way to automate the monotanous processes. It will be a good place to work.

I have been waiting for my O'connor belt buckle and pin for my kilt, but it keeps getting delayed in Scotland. It is getting a little...

There are lots of cool places in NE to hang out. Psycho Suzi's, Grumpys, The Bulldog, The Double Deuce (otherwise known as 22nd Street Station), The 331 Club, etc.

Crap & double crap!! I didn't get the job I was hoping for. Oh well, there is always next time.

That's always a good attitude to have. Good luck.

It was a marvelous day for a run. I'd forgotten what a beautiful city this is to run or bike in.

So this is weird. I haven't been dating for almost a year and now I just got my 4th date with 4 different women in the last week. What is up with that? All of the sudden they just keep asking me out. I guess the old addage of when it rains it pours holds true.
snazzy:
I should have that application up in the next day or two! wink

Woo hoo! She called and we have a date tomorrow. This is a good thing.

I just discovered that my new phone didn't notify me that I had a any messages. I checked them on a whim and discovered I had 8 messages that I missed since May 5th. One of them was from a girl I wanted to date, but that was a week ago and I think she figures I blew her off. I left her a message...
