After an hour of playing around with the camera, kicking my computer and growling loud enough to scare my neighbors dog. . . the photos from the DC Party Version 2 hosted by saintinsomniac have been added to my album.. . . If your names aren't on the pics I apologize but I'm amazed enough that I managed to get that much done. . ....

Saintinsomniac's House Party
Pragmatic / Dogmatic / Rambling Recap
Somehow I managed to start the evening off by winning a battle with silvereve over when we should leave (note to self, in the future don't bother battling with her she is always right) and we surprised saintinsomniac in the act of finalizing the party floor plan. Twenty whole minutes early and nothing to do but wait. Going against...

I dunno why I talk politics so much at parties- next time, I will stick to sociology.
There were 'good-looking-women galore' at that partay (maybe Ian Fleming might've worded it a lil differently).

Dude, unsuspecting?? You didn't even wait for me to close my eyes!
Lots of entries. . . no entries. . . lots of entries. . . no entries. .
Most of the time, weeks prance by me like a herd of Santa's Elves dressed in S&M gear, once the initial shock of seeing it passes by, it loses it's mystique. The past month has stuck around in my head a bit longer than most. I keep seeing...

Yeah, I get the "not again"s every freakin Monday morning. And keep in mind- things have been way better than normal for me the last few days. It's still not good enough. I will die before I set foot in this building (hi, I'm at work) in 2006. I am waaay too in a life-rut. People will read this and think, "Man, you get to go online a couple hours at work; what could be wrong?" I'll tell ya- it's having worked in places that are better. Knowing that there's a better way out there, at many other branches where I could work.
Bit of good news- my biz trip tomorra. I will not set foot in here the next 3 days.

n this episode of the week that was::::
I'm guessing that if I continue to go at the pace I'm currently setting I'll blow up in about 30 days. Tuesday found me in baltimore, wednesday was a mad dash to Hancock MD and whatever other small towns lay in wait around there. Thursday I drove a little over seven hundred miles to Western West...

::::the trumpets do blare:::: It's simply what trumpets do. . . I have returned triumphant from the strangest land in the world NEW YORK CITY, and it was officially my first time getting out of my car in that fabled land. Don't get me wrong I've driven from end to end before but never saw a reason to get out of the car. I am...

Wow! you had a blast! I so wish I could have gone. Oh well maybe some day. Thanks for the thorough report
It was kind of like having an inside spy...hehe. Anyway welcome back!
silvereve:
I'm so glad you're back. It was empty here without you
Well tomarrow is the glorious New York Auto show and I have to admit that I'm kind of buzzed about going up to NY for the weekend. I've been traveling more and more lately and it's really starting to make me a little sad. I know tons of people who love to travel because they can get away from their wives or home. There are...

I had heard that, besides the Japanese jail time (remember the pot bust?), Paul and Linda McCartney spent a total of two weeks away from each other in their entire marriage... it's really quite unfortunate that she died (I mean more so than "regular death" being unfortunate :^/ ) when you consider how few rock-marriages last.
While I'm not around much this week... or prob next... I'd love to hear about the car show. I've been really freaked on Amer. Chopper lately. My fave car's prob the '54 El Dorado, although I've seen pics of Delahayes (I think it was French) from the 1930s that look like Peter Max paintings come to life.

Jealous here man. I'd worry if you didn't miss your girl. That being said enjoy the car show and please post your favorites or I'll have to crawl down the Internet and throttle you hehe
Seriously enjoy yourself and bring back pictures!
March 19th. . .
We started out the day just like any other day I guess, early morning coffee at Starbucks, hair cut, rental car returned and then off to our Ostara ritual. So from 3 to 8 we drank wine, ate cheese and socialized with the Witch's of Burke VA. Confusion set in shortly after as we tried to navigate the streets of DC...

Today I was on my way to Baltimore when I decided to play at home and setup my New York Trip. I'll be up there from the 23rd through that Saturday. I managed to find a nice modern hotel without spending a fortune and the total flight fits nicely under 250.
I'll be hanging out at the International Auto show and get to spend some...

Well the week came and went. . . I guess that's a pretty good thing. We had our first National meeting and I'll be going to New York for the first time at the end of this month. Rah Rah Rah. . . for the auto show and a tour of our broadcast center. I'm trying to figure out what to do when I get...

Weekends, sleeping in, and bad movies.
Well it's saturday, and although it's finally signaled the start of the weekend for me, instead of a trumpet blaring it's arrival it's the sound of a mouse squeeking away in the corner. I've managed to make myself so tired on the grind during the week that friday was spent watching Battlestar Galactica (love) and then a horrible rendition...

I have 3 pics up from The Holy Mountain in there, and 2 from El Topo (well, obviously the record cover). The former is, without a doubt, the greatest visual feast in all of cinematic history. Whether or not it's the "best movie" depends what you mean... but it is way, waaay outside the box of a "nice little flick" at the local Cineplex. Topo's pretty cool, too. Santa Sangre's ehh, okay. Didn't care for Fando Y Lis, but the DVD has a good documentary on Jodorowsky (at one point in the '70s, he was gonna make Dune with Pink Floyd doing the soundtrack. They show some artist's conceptions of how that might've turned out... not that I'm a Dune expert at all).
